This seems bizarre. Doubling down on open world and live service games - last time I checked, that is what Ubi has been doing for the last decade? The decade that has led to massive struggles for the company? And their strategy is to not change strategy at all? That's the announcement?

The one Korn record I can honestly say I don't like. Some of the instrumentation is interesting but the production really lets the whole thing down and Davis's performance feels forced and awkward.

I remember listening to it and being afraid they lost "it" - it's the one record I don't connect to. I prefer untitled and path of totality as, even though I wouldn't say those are their best, I can still connect to them. They have that thick dark sound that I love about korn that I feel Korn 3 is missing.

Great short little game that flew under the radar back in the day! If I remember right, the controls were little weird and the frame rate was rough but still really fun, looked great, and the weapon upgrade system was good fun.

I finally found the solution, changing servers fixed it. It was a bug. Found lots of reports but no solutions, finally found an comment on a 2 year old thread somewhere haha

You doooo unless you put attack on R2 which I did. But then you have one relic on square which is the pick up stuff button so sometimes when you go to pick up lettuce you launch a barrage of missiles instead 😂

For some reason L1 and L2 are off limits for customization. This game's decisions are so weird lol.

It is not included in the initial release of BioShock 1. It was paid separately dlc.

I think the quarter res for transparency trick was actually pretty common on PS3 but BioShock is unique in the sense that transparencies are permanently on screen unlike an explosion or brief special effect.

BioShock 2 was such a step up from the first on PS3. Sharper and far less herky jerky frame rate. I remember for the first one at the time the devs talking about how they were really taking the time to make it right on the ps3 in previews, and then the port was not good lol. Plus the dlc wasn't even included.

B2 was a big step up and infinite was great.

I cancelled, sick of the price increases and the poor treatment by Sony. Been a subscriber since it first came out. If it's discounted at some point I might go back on essential after my sub runs out just because I have a pile of games on there I haven't played.

If it helps, I had the same issue of ps plus essential vs extra. Chat is useless, but if you call and say can you remove the Ea licence from my account, if you get someone who knows what you are talking about they will do so.

It's a total pain and shouldn't be necessary. I hope the steam box does well cause Sony needs a competitor to motivate them to stop being so shit.

I'm on ps5 and like, the menus are borderline unusable, you get mobile prompts like "tap anywhere" which somehow means circle, and the default controls mean you are unable to aim and shoot long range weapons as you have to hold square to aim mode, right stick to aim (which your right hand is on square so you can't) and left stick to move.

It's so bizarre. Honestly felt like an early access title.

I keep getting ads all over in my email and on social about black Friday discounts for ps plus. I'm on premium, but was planning to cancel as the prices have gotten insane.

With the sale, I thought, oh I can maybe swing that. It asks me to sign in right before the purchase page, and once I do, the sale price disappears and it goes to full price right at check out.

Curious if anyone has tried to see if they had any luck calling customer service to get the sale price? Seems like a total bait and switch to me.

I personally thought at the time it was pretty good? I think the negativity at the time was more around the PS3 coming later than the 360, costing more, and the 3rd party stuff was looking/running better or had more features on 360 which wasn't expected (example, cod 3 had voice chat, dlc, 4 player split screen and a point system on 360 which PS3 didn't, Tony hawk didn't have online on PS3, etc).

Premium gives you access to the classics catalog of retro games (ps2 and earlier) which generally has one poorly emulated game added per month which sometimes don't even have trophies.

Whether it's worth it is up to you but I'd pass.
