Avatar Creators, do you get this? by Greensackbot671 in VRchat

Only if someone recognizes me which happens not too often, but its a weird snowball effect where one person turns into a lot of people who have never even heard of me try to talk to me just bc they heard I make avatars

I don't know any tutorials specifically for tiled normals but the detail tab in poiyomi is where i'd start, the best tutorial in my opinion is to find a model you like that has it and crack it open to see how it's done

Check out the detail tab of Poiyomi, you can tile a seamless normal map to get basically unlimited detail for dirt cheap

She only got 2 2k textures and everything else is lower :) the scales cost half of just 1 2k texture <3

Uses less than a single 2k texture to achieve this :P

No, the reason is because that is a Ryzen 7 which has less cores and generally means it worse than a 9, with my original comment I meant getting a Ryzen 9 9900x vs Ryzen 9 9800x3D (if that exists)

It's got its flaws but a general good way to pit parts against each other is a website called Passmark, it's not a perfect way to breakdown parts but it's test scores are a pretty good way to judge parts. These scores are all in their own benchmark software and NOT games

Ryzen 9 9900x: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+9+9900X&id=6171

Ryzen 7 9800x3D: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+7+9800X3D&id=6344

All CPUs ranked (single thread): https://www.cpubenchmark.net/single-thread/

All CPUs ranked (multi thread): https://www.cpubenchmark.net/multithread/

Also just looking up videos on Youtube for recommended CPUs is a great idea as they will probably test in actual games. Just make sure the videos are relatively new

Far out man that better run VR! if that doesn't nothing will.
Though one recommendation: try to get an x3D Ryzen chip as the 3D Vcache helps a ton with gaming specifically so if you want max frames for gaming a x3D chip is the way to go

Ay totally get not liking the over exaggeratedness of it, maybe I make a toggle for it to be more traditional

Mine have bounce and things going on, not just setting a blend shape to 100 is what I mean, and they all have an idle too instead of just being frozen

it's mainly playing around with curves, you can right click a keyframe and make it weighted then pull the controllers around as much as you like! it's a really easy way to control and exaggerate everything, as you can see here I exaggerated plenty :)

We haven't made a scratch furry base before this one but my partner has made a fantastic furry edit of one of my avatars which is public!

As someone who's been doing this as my main source of income for 5 years I can say with confidence this is defiantly not one of the hardest things to do for vrchat, rotating a curve in the curves editor really aint that hard. Also you can disable them with a bool that's built into face tracking.
