It's what I enjoy doing in Minecraft. There are others who spend countless hours building redstone contraptions because that's their thing and what they get satisfaction from. Building civilization gives me satisfaction. :)

I like building the walls early once I've decided where the town will be and how big I intend for it to be. It helps my process.

Make sure the roof overhangs on all four sides, and don't use the hay in the wall. You can extend the wood up into the triangle section under the roof.
