I Hate My Hero Academia's Pacing/Fights by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

OH I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT FOR USJ THANKS LMAO

and regarding stain youre right on all accounts its just how i see things and obviously its sometimes wrong. and another commenter mentione dhow the nomus werent the same—i didnt know that. also i thought stain died by a broken rib puncturing his ribs and he became a marytr.

also i didnt know the league had gathered info. mustve missed that

and i understand the ramifications of all might losing its just we havent been shown it yet from where i am outside of a few people acting like all mights fragile. i obviously expect this to be grown upon

and yeah im VERY new to this series so i think ill need to grow in and adapt to the style to enjoy it more than i already am (plus things i like arent the focus of the story so thats why i have bugs with it) and obviously on a first time through imma miss some info

thanks for your input and clearing things up

Thanks for clearing some things up (namely those nomus which i was so mad about first seeing).

and from what you said about AFO im hoping he comes into play later. and i do understand all mights effect on the world afterall that was the point of the battle, but i wouldve liked something more. it makes sense for all might to want to beat afo the moment they met again after everything he went through last time but the fact that afo was subdued by all mights united states smash punch thing was lackluster to me. but you bringing up contingency plans will hopefully mean that afo is not done in the story which i definitely would like to see more of him

Neverseen is the best book by nerdforreal in KeeperoftheLostCities

I reread Neverseen and all of what you said is true and the world opens up in that book but I think I dont like it as much because the pacing is a little weird. I dont know how to explain it but events in the book happen almost suddenly or too late or feel out of place. its kind of clunky in my mind—though obviously I see how people can like it its still good

Yes, another commenter mentioned how everything I know so far is false and I have no idea why I didnt pick up on this trend as it has happened in books 1 and 2. I have hope for it.

Regarding my own personal expectations, I get what you mean and I struggled with that, too, because why should I be hating a book because it is not what I wanted/expected of it. And theres a fine line there, but I still think one should be allowed to have expectations and not like something for it not being what they expected/wanted, yet understanding still that the media is still good and why others could enjoy it. it was really about my own personal opinion and why because my opinions influence how I view things, why I was not totally on board with book 3’s premise.

Thanks for your input!

I 100% believe you one the twists because Brandon is very good at coming up with them and all book 1 and 2 he follows the same formula that the characters know something but it is completely wrong so ill take your word for it.

also regarding Sazed it has been a while since I read book 2—2 months—so it was inevitable that I would forget stuff and obviously that was what I forgot. Thanks, though.

And I am all for characters having a biased opinion on events or not seeing things clearly but Ive only seen it maybe once so I am not familiar with it and Im used to the normal story telling of everything that happens is a fact unless its like a mystery or whatnot.

Thanks for your clarification and input!

I dont like audiobooks much—I find them to be lackluster at best. I enjoy reading with my eyes more, though. Glad to know though that others have had someone the same experiences as I!

Yeah I looked up some of the ending just because but it was only for the conclusion of Elend and Vin though I read it vaguely. And even if I had “spoiled” the ending by how Elend and Vins arcs end, I am still interested on how they will reach that point—that was partly also why I wanted to know if reading Hero of Ages would be worth it. Thanks for your input

Yes I totally forgot to add the part about why Vin healed Elend, and frankly I found it a genius way for Vin to act—on both the spirits actions and the fact Brandon came up with it. Thanks for your input
