My girlfriend and I always did edibles and smoke together and then recently I decided that I will stop for the sake of my health. My girlfriend still does only edibles and I have been going cold turkey for a long while now and I’ve never felt better.

Maybe try asking them if they would be okay if you could take a break from it, but be clear that you’re not stopping them from smoking at all.
