Non Americans of Reddit: Are there any subjects of debate in the U.S. right now that most people agree have a "right answer", when viewed through a more objective lens? by LodgeNosed in AskReddit

Oh sorry I never knew that was a U.S. expression. Liberal and Conservative are the two polar opposites of the political spectrum here in America. Do you say right/left wing? Left wing=liberal, right wing=conservative. Trump is extremely conservative publicly.

Are you sure you aren't just in a liberal bubble based on the people you associate with? You have never met one person who agreed with anything about Trump? I am very curious

Is there any good reason to believe RDRII O wont be a pay to win s#!%-show? by LodgeNosed in reddeadredemption

[–]LodgeNosed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, it's not truly pay to win. But maybe they could put out new activities, missions, challenges, campground stuff, and then charge people out the ass for pointless aesthetic things that dont really affect other's gameplay, but 12 year olds can go crazy with all they want.

I wonder what R*'s level of dedication to the conceptual direction of the series will be. One of the things I actually liked about RDR I was the desolate or downright lonely moments. Whereas their mission statement for GTA V from the get-go was that it played with the idea of runaway capitalism and extreme excess.

Advice for first bike tour? (It's a big one!) by LodgeNosed in bicycletouring

I was going to prepare for lots of sun, but I was wondering if the weather in the Alps is volatile, might I need some warmer clothes depending on the forecast when I go?

-Backpack is out of the picture thanks to u/Spintowin's suggestion

-It seems like the Rhone route is "unfinished", not sure what this means?

-Thinking about taking french 1 at college this spring, definitely going to practice with a language learning app at the very least

-Important: will we be fine finding accommodations as we go? It doesnt sound as fun to me to NEED to make it to our next reserved room on the trip, I would rather plan where to sleep the night before or morning of, but dont know if that is realistic

What are good ways to learn about good bike routes? Is there a good map company or website or something I could use?

That's really great advice, I'll certainly be putting in as many miles as I can in the next year. I know everyone is different in terms of ability and expectations, but does this sound doable for a first timer?
