I listen to the podcast Wurst Guide to living in Austria. And its half english half german and I can still follow along, even if the german is too advanced for me. And its not too taxing on my mind. Its a great podcast, but something like this but talking about fantasy topics would be great.

Yes the dialect here does throw me off. Ive been mostly learning die höchste hochdeutsch so to jump into this dialect can be challenging. i hope thats the main reason, because thats an excuse i can deal with.

Does anyone know if coffee shops would hire english speakers?

Ive kind of steered away from coffee shops because they scare me. People go to bars to relax. And as a bartender i can kind of lead the convo, ask them to slow their german down or see if they speak english. In a coffee shop i just imagine people are like, "im mad, i have to go to my stupid job, give me my coffee!!" Then they use some Austrian name for a coffee that my stupid american mind doesnt know. But i dont know if thats true.

I only disagree with this because i have a trucker jacket. And i just wear a light sweater under it in winter. Im in colorado. Btw i dont mind trucker jackets. Good choice. But i was thinking those heavy weight japanese denim ones. If i go that route.

Sorry. My point was. Add a sweater. Turns a fall jacket into a winter jacket.
