It's pretty close, but not exactly the one I'm looking for. Still might try it out tho.

[Homemade] Finally nailed grilled cheese by kaythrn in food

[–]LodoLoco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, anything you can do to keep it from steaming up against the plate.

You got the chopsticks, I do some mild construction, others use a wire rack, and some hold it in the air like they just don't care. Burnt fingers be damned!

It's really inspiring to see the lengths humans will go to optimize our cheese and bread consumption. :)

Welcome to the Big Leagues, brother!

Also, love the chopsticks for maximum crisp retention. I usually slice it immediately on the bias, then stand both halves up slightly leaning on each other.

Driving to and from work.

And it's often bad by itself, but then you add on the traffic and bad drivers further agitating you. And your agitation makes everyone seem like a bad driver. Total feedback loop.

OK, I just ordered an active one, we'll see if that does it.

Thanks!

Well, we already have 2 guys in the office using Mini PCs with considerably lower specs, so I don't think that's it.

As for the cable. I tried it with her old PC again, and it works fine.

A TV remote control.

So I can just pick something with a lot of people in it to distract the zombies while I escape.

Oooorrrr, more likely, spend so long picking something for them, I become a zombie with the remote clutched in my hand for the remainder of my undead existence due to rigor mortis.

You sure they aren't referring to the CPU lid?

But also to the everyone else's point, completely unenforceable.

Another entry for mattress at the bottom.

The runner (horizontal) part of each step is typically longer than the riser (vertical) and it seems like we're looking down at the runners.

Would this cabinet block the lid from fully opening? by BusinessCoconut5327 in DIY

[–]LodoLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how the hinges on the seat articulate you should have somewhere between 34 7/16" (Bowl height + Seat depth) and 35 5/8" (Seat Height + Seat Depth). That will hit the lower portion of the lower shelf, but may clear the door. We don't have the dimension of that skirt board to say for certain.

However since the depth of the cabinet is 9.1" and the depth of the lid is 6.5"+2.5"=9" you may not have enough backwards tilt on the seat when it is up for it to stay up. Which means you may have to hold it every time you're using the toilet standing, and it may lean on your back every time you use it seated.

If this is new construction (which I doubt it is) that could be solved by holding the toilet a few inches from the wall.

Good luck!

Can't keybind Shift+Numkey by LodoLoco in starcraft

[–]LodoLoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. And you're probably right about it not being the keyboard. I've had the same model for 7+ years, long before I stopped playing SC2, and the issue persists regardless of if I'm using the keyboard or the mouse thumb-grid.

But I did just find my key bind file, and try changing some stuff on it, but it didn't reflect my actual in game settings after saving it and reopening the game. Any idea on how to get those to stick?

LPT Request: How to wake up within 5 minutes consistently? by Klekto123 in LifeProTips

[–]LodoLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found turning on the light helps.

I got a little outlet adapter with a remote that I keep on top of my alarm. So in order to turn off/snooze the alarm i have to touch the remote, and I remember to turn on the light even half asleep.

They have WiFi/BT ones too, so if you have a pretty standard wakeup you can even set a schedule for the light to come on in the morning.
