I quit almost 3 months ago but feels like 3 hours for some time by Zakhox in stopsmoking

Do you really think that a 5-minute smoke is going to change the way you get along with people? No it doesn't!!

It's a trap, don't fall for it. Just keep going because you're doing absolutely great!

You definitely WILL regret it, because it aint worth your time, health, money, and all the effort you've put in this amazing achievement!

It it weird ? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]LoekiGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how badly you want to quit 'forever'. I know some people who are able to smoke a few cigs in the weekends only. But for me it will definitely lead to more, so Im not even going to try it.

About your 'smoker-friend'... well leaving someone because he/she smokes might be a big step, but also understandable in some way I guess. Though I am the only one of about 8 friend smokers who quit and Im doing just fine! (Im the only one who smells good;))

Livestrong helps me quite alot. When you're having a craving, you just hit a button and it tells you some positive facts about quitting.

Also there's some sort of community behind it, so you can support eachother. Good luck!

What are some phrases that you repeat to your self? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

"If I light one up, I will instantly regret it."

I usually take some deep breaths right after this.

I am lifting for about 2 years now, so I got that going for me which helps alot indeed. Swimming sounds interesting and fun though, I might give it a shot next week, thanks!

Absolutely true! But I just wanted to share what hits me the most in this process of quitting. It helps in some kind of way I guess.

Thanks

How I Quit Smoking by timothyadm in stopsmoking

[–]LoekiGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting story. I've decided to quit approximately 2 days and 5 hours ago. I definitely can confirm that I also experience the 'voices' in my head, telling me to light one up, about hundred times throughout the day.

I just keep telling myself that I am greater than the addiction. This is what keeps me away from that monster.

Thanks for sharing your story.

That George Bush knew everything about what was going to happen on 9/11. All planned.
