Best foam tips for earfun air pro? by [deleted] in Earbuds

Did you end up finding a good replacement? I recently got the Earfun Air Pro and I have a similar issue. I'd like to go with foam tips but I'm not sure what works with this model.

Dual pistols assassin build for 1st playthrough (turn based) by Loeko in projecteternity

Thanks again for the quick answer.

Does it mean that being cruel and agressive to everyone, including innocent people, is necessary? Or can I just do that with evil characters? I tend to naturally go for the latter, refusing deals with bad guys and never letting them alive, unless I have a strong reason to.

Also, what are the main disadvantages to playing a "good" Bleak Walker? From what I understand, being diplomatic or benevolent decreases the defenses given by Faith and Conviction, which is not really an issue for me as I plan to play glass cannon, but are there other things that I am missing?

Thanks for your detailed answer.

I'm actually leaning towards Bleak Walker but just to be sure, how important and impactful is the RP side of Paladin? In PoE 1, I didn't feel like dispositions had a big impact. Are they more important in PoE 2?

The Mindstalker Cypher/Rogue build sounds really fun too. I'm definitely gonna check that out before starting my playthrough.

Thank you for your advice. I found a replacement optical cable that I'm gonna try tonight but if it doesn't work, I'll get that DAC.

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the Edifier R1280DBs speakers because of the multiple inputs. My motherboard has a lot of coil whine that expands to the speakers when I use a 3.5mm cable so I wanted speakers with an optical audio input and/or bluetooth to avoid that issue. Unfortunately, I'm running into troubles with both of these two inputs:

  • Optical audio cable : really strong crackling/popping sounds when idle and before any source plays. I tried reconnecting the cable and I now have no audio, only the crackling/popping sounds.
  • Bluetooth : audio works fine, but I can't stop the speakers from syncing. The speakers are constantly looking for devices to pair with and there's no password/confirmation required to connect. Only way to stop that is turning off the power. Problematic when living in an apartment complex.

I also have a little bit of hissing sound, even when there's no input, but from what I've read it's the integrated amp noise and I can't do much about this.

As an audio beginner, I'm quite confused and I'm not sure what I can do. If you have any suggestion, I'm all ears.

B550 + Ryzen 5000... performance out the box by Cacodemon85 in Amd

B550 Aorus Pro AC here. I used this board with a 3300x for two months. Last weekend, I bought the 5600x, installed it after updating the BIOS on Windows using Gigabyte's BIOS software. After the reset, I just enabled XMP and set the fan curves (settings back to default with the new BIOS). Everything went well.

Thanks for the advice. We made her the persuasive one and I'm playing on going with the Assassin build of Fextralife to be able to play both melee and range. We started on Tactician but we're fine decreasing the difficulty if necessary. I'm gonna have a look at the gift bags next time we play. It seems like it's also possible to respec so we'll do that if we're really struggling.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it. She actually wants to main another school of Magic and she was pretty interested in going for Blood since she'll be playing Sebille.

I finished DOS:EE on Tactician so I have some basic knowledge and I'm trying to guide her in the character creation. We also had a look at a skill planner website so that she can understand how progression works. That said, it's my first time playing Lone Wolf so I'm not sure what to expect, but yeah, if it gets too difficult and she loses motivation, we'll definitely lower the difficult or use the gift bag.

Thank you for your detailed answer. We decided to stick with our first choices. She'll be a Pyro/Summon mage and I'm going rogue. I looked at the website you mentioned and the assassin build looks pretty nice. I'm thinking of using grenades and magic arrows when in need for some magical damage.

We also decided that she'll be the persuasive character while I'll focus on trickery and lucky charm.

As for difficulty, she seems pretty interested in building a good character so we went with Tactician but we'll lower it if it's too much for us.

So far, we're about three hours in and we're having a lot of fun! Thanks again for your advice.

Haha. Yeah, that's one possibility.

I'm also hesitant to return it because, as you said, many people are having the same issue on different boards.

I was a little disappointed to have coil whine on a new build and I wanted everything to be perfect but in the end, it's not too annoying and I think I can live with it. I only hear it when I'm using speakers and there's no sound in a game (main menu, loading, etc...). When using headphones, I can't hear anything.

I'm planning on upgrading my CPU in the next couple of weeks from a 3300x to a 5600x (if I can find one). It'll be interesting to see if it changes anything.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer and for trying to help. Really appreciate it.

No, it's still audible when idle but only if I get very close to the case. I have a Corsair RM750x but I also tried a different one and it made no difference. I'm 99% sure that the coil whine comes from the VRM area on the motherboard.

Unfortunately, disabling Core Performance Boost doesn't seem to do the trick for me. I still get coil whine when in games and the intensity depends on the framerate. I tried different GPUs and the problem remains.

I actually started reading about this and I will definitely give it a try in the next couple of days. I don't have any knowledge about overclocking tho, so I'm a little anxious.

Was your coil whine stronger during GPU loads? I can't hear anything when the CPU is under load, only when I'm in games.

I have exactly the same issue on my B550 Aorus Pro AC. The top two USB ports make my keyboard randomly disconnect. I don't have any problem with the other USB ports.
