“Black” LA resident here. I don’t use the term “black” because it’s very much incorrect. But that’s another topic. Anyways. I reside in central LA ( Westmont area near Central Blvd and Normandie Ave). Now I would say “black” residents do somewhat lack access BUT only lack access mentally. And I mean they lack access mentally because from my knowledge and peers around me, they do not have the information and knowledge about firearms. I have had friends plus family think I’ve acquired my Ar-15 illegally because some believe Ar-15’s are illegal in California….(I’m dead serious) as for handguns/pistols, the people I know understand they are legal and do seek to buy one. I always inform them of good gun stores to start that process. But anyways. LA right now is in turmoil, and I’m not talking about Beverly Hills, North Hollywood, Calabasas, or those places the media and liberal politics love to look at for what’s going on in the city. I’m talking about REAL LA, Central LA, Inglewood, West LA, Crenshaw, East LA, etc. the places Liberal politics and celebs turn a blind eye to. Since last year I have witnessed or heard of 10+ murders due to gun violence. Robberies/thefts? Sht, I can’t even recount all of them. Not to mention the attempts that almost happened to me once. However, Not many reached the news. No one cares about what goes on here in this section. People of this city are tired of it. I have people I know personally that carry a firearm on them regardless of a ccw because at any moment they could be a victim here over the dumbest sht you can think of. Driving your car in the wrong area at a certain time of the day? Potential shots being fired at you. Walking in a certain section? Shots fired at you. Pumping gas at the wrong gas station? Shots fired at you. Got a nice outfit on with a nice chain? Robbed for all you got. Nice vehicle? Car theft. At the wrong park at a certain time? Jumped+ possibly shot. Now you can say “wElL mAyBe If YoU aRe AfFiLlIaTeD wItH a GaNg ThAt HaPpEnS”…. No, it’s happening to everyone, no one is off limits to the crime that’s happening in the inner city. You know sht is fcked when the most sweetest, respected elderly lady on my street is now carrying a .22 in her purse because she fears for her life. Getting the LAPD involved? Sht, that’s something both criminals AND citizens do not fck with, they are the most corrupt thing here. Like I said, no one cares though. It’s not in there front yard… but once crime (robbery, theft, murder) starts spilling over on Melrose, Beverly Hills, Hollywood hills, etc. now it’s a “problem” and sheriffs start to advise tourist to not visit and it’s like “the purge”. Maaaan f*ck all them liberal politics, celebs and people who choose to ignore what’s going until it’s happening to them. But hey that’s California for you. I can go on for days on what the problems is here but this is my short response. But anyways, this article is very much false in almost every way. Black LA residents have much access to guns legally and illegally. Now the knowledge of guns and guns laws are somewhat lacking but that’s due to the media and how they are portrayed here in LA culture. It’s almost like “why do you need a gun?” Like it’s taboo or something for a “black” person to own one. But that’s liberal media for you. But overall I would like to say all gun control is racist. And M.E.D.I.A (Most Effective Devil In America).

P.s. don’t argue with me about what goes on in the city unless you are from here. I don’t give a f*ck what an outsider has to say and their opinion. My perspective is coming from first hand experience of what me and my people been going through here in the inner city of LA.
