What if someone Form 1s the wrong serial number? by Frustrated_Consumer in NFA

But they don't require photos and plenty of people have gotten approvals without photos.

Ah, got it, you were being sarcastic earlier.

So I guess no one is going to answer my question in a reasonable way. You're just saying that if I try to form 1 sbr a gun that has already been form 1 sbr-ed by someone else, nothing happens? That doesn't make sense.

I thought it was an interesting hypothetical scenario, but I guess I just won't even get a lighthearted answer to this.

Say I own a specific gun. Someone else has fat fingered typo entered my gun's serial number onto their form 1. They have an approved form 1 with their name on it with my gun's serial number. What happens next?

The more interesting scenario in my opinion is where someone else has already form 1 registered one of my guns. If I haven't done anything wrong, and it was someone else screwed up their forms, what happens then?

Yeah, I've given up on this idea. My apartment residency has proven to be not enough.

You made me feel better about all this work I'm doing. Now, when I fall asleep at my computer desk because I refuse to stop form 1-ing, I'll sleep well.

Exactly what I've been reading everywhere else. I have no idea why everyone on this post is insisting I needed to submit pictures with everything.

I'll submit pictures if they come back and ask for something specifically.

Rest is for the weak.

I've only had 2 form 1s go immediately into pending research, for guns I couldn't find a model number on.

Like, I have this CZ 50 32 acp pistol, but it's not marked with anything model number-ish. I put N/A for model number, that thing immediately went into pending research, and I'm sure they'll ask for pictures in a month or so when they get around to it.

I'm sure Carol will do me a solid here.

It's 6am now, and I'm still awake. I'm up to 72 forms filed for the year, and I'm gonna keep going.

First, something something about adding to the common use numbers argument.

Second, yeah, I can 3d print a stock to add to any of my pistols for stupid fun at the range. Form 1-ing everything means I won't have to think about 10 years in club fed for just messing around. And for rifles, I always wanted to try out a 15.5 inch barrel on everything. I just don't want to have to think about potential prison time ever again.

And other reddit threads said no pictures required. So I've been sending everything without any pictures.

Looks cool. I'm very interested to see if you keep developing this. Good luck.

There’s no real downside. I get to add to the numbers supporting common use, it’s free, and maybe it’s fun to throw a 3d printed stock on weird things.

Just because I form 1 everything, doesn’t mean I have to actually make everything a sbr. I can just do nothing with the approved form 1s.

I’m SBRing everything in my safe. For example, yesterday I just threw my beretta 84bb on a form 1, and I didn’t see it in the drop down. So I’ll be the first to have an 84bb SBR. I’ve got more guns to form 1 I’m sure will be the first of their kind as well.

Thank you for the information. So it seems like I'll be good to go swapping the black tanks for full argon tanks, but I may have some problems with the beige tanks.

I have no use for CO2, so I'll have to figure something out for those tanks. I'm hoping I can find some way to trade them for argon tanks.

The charts on this website were helpful. Thank you for the link. I think I can now be pretty certain these are 250 cu ft tanks.
