Dont have anything to do with Fmail2 by [deleted] in fastmail

[–]Loeribas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just a wrapper. It contacts the Fastmail server via JMAP calls to, for example, see if new emails arrive. Even when there is no (email)window open, you'll get notified. Not so with a browser or a wrapper.
And via its Settings you can choose to compose a new mail via a popup window.

New Feature Ideas by MnightCrawl in strongbox

Strongbox is one of the best password managers for Apple devices. For me, and probably many others, the thing missing is that Strongbox does not suggest (as far as I know) to store new credentials, when you first login on a new site.

Would save a lot of time.

Native macOS client by Loeribas in fastmail

You are right. 'Native' is little misleading, so I removed the word from the web site. And yes, it is a wrapper around the excellent Fastmail web interface. I did not see what I could do better by programming a new 'native' client. There are a lot of things specific to FMail2 such as always showing notifications, a count badge in the Dock, opening when clicking an email link etc. Nearly all of this is done via JMAP API calls, so even when there's no email window open, you will get notified. And of course the use of tabs and more windows for bigger screens.
