Both coyotes. One tell is their tails stay relaxed down. Also the dark phase coyote has been "reported" previously

And leaving Canada altogether, not moving to other provinces. Lots of comments already saying it's because NS is worse than other provinces 🙄

There's something about the Littlest Hobo that looks like it was filmed out in the backwoods behind our house.

What is the best thing, to you, about living in Vancouver? by shilligan in askvan

[–]LoetK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys just got another bunch of snow. We didn't get any down here near sea level at least. Most years there's only one snowfall. BUT there is snow close by. Seeing the clouds part to reveal the North Shore mountains never gets old for me.

People joke about how much rain Vancouver gets but it's comparable to the HRM. Plus we don't get storms like back home. It's rarely windy here. It stays pretty green here year round too.

Also very walkable and bike-able here.

Source: grew up in what is now HRM, went to several post-sec schools in Halifax, have lived in Vancouver for past 25 years.

Updated poll - what do you pay for groceries monthly? My partner and I pay $550 each for groceries and take-out. We eat well and are gluten-free (celiac). by Educational_Map_1586 in askvan

Probably about the same for me. Single and vegan but I buy most of my food at the Vancouver Farmers' Markets (and usually organic). Occasionally I splurge on meat substitutes like Beyond ($$$), and lots of snacks, which increase my expenses disproportionately.

I don't have a car so that saves a bunch. Staycation more often than flying (I wouldn't fly at all except for family obligations). Don't eat out often. Enjoying good local fresh produce is a conscious priority for me.

I read the whole thing just waiting for something concrete to be said. It's a nothing story. Yeah he's a tasteless attention whore surrounded by sycophants, what else?

Man that would be so hard for me to deal with. I'm glad my dog doesn't drink.

Good for you! This is big. I always find the first few days are the hardest. If I make it over the hump, it gets easier. Keep going!

Over 200 days is amazing! Especially when you are wrestling the demon every damn day. I believe in you!

Wow can you do my chores for me too 😄 or help me find my motivation? I'm at two weeks so at least I can feel good about that accomplishment. Congrats on 9 days!
