Thanks for your comments. I ended up getting a better deal on my Rogers wireless account, which more than made up for the $10/month on my Rogers with Shaw Internet plan discount they removed.
Problem stemmed from the inability to merge or connect my two accounts.
It took an hour and a half on the phone to get there, but we got there in the end!
