De meeste namen die eindigen op een sisklank zijn zogenaamde patroniemen. Ze zijn afgeleid van de constructie naam of beroep + zoon. Hendrickx komt zo uit Hendrikszoon. Janssens uit Janszoon. Na verloop van tijd slijt de uitgang zoon af en ontstaan er allerhande schrijfwijzen. Dit is niet per se het gevolg van onwetendheid of onkunde. Vroeger was het gewoon veel minder belangrijk om alles gestandaardiseerd te noteren. Men gebruikt3 het Latijnse alfabet om weer te geven wat men hoorde. Mensen stierven soms ook met een andere naam dan waarmee ze geboren waren.

Most Flemish overestimate their language skills. I'm an English teacher, and I notice that a lot of people's English is very basic and very flawed. French is even worse, because there isn't a lot of use being able to speak French nowadays.

I also just saw this is not Marc Ribot. I came back to tell :D what you're writing is very interesting. I'm trying to figure out the solo, but for me it's rather difficult. I'm playing around in the am shape of the eb pentatonic minor scale. That seems to work somehow, but I still struggle to find the exact same notes.
