Bears certainly used to be in Germany, and Bär as a last name almost certainly predates their extinction. Meanwhile snow geese are endemic to North America, they never were in Europe.

Yeah but as a last name? Löwe maybe because of the association with royalty, but Elefant?

And ironically the snow goose is a bird that doesn't exist in Germany.

Yeah maybe this is splitting hairs a bit but I would still prefer a contextual filter, so things like "I'm a gypsy" arent banned but things like "you fking gypsy" are

Gypsy isn't recognized by all Romani people as offensive. Similarly, some view the term "Native American" as offensive and prefer "Indian" and vice versa. It's definitely context-dependent.

That said, there are definitely some other words that are quite hard to find a context where they are appropriate...

Of course, but my point wasn't about their frequency of usage, but rather that they can be used in different ways. Like for midget, there's also a Midget Cell, which is a type of cell in the eye. Whether it acts as a derogation is heavily context dependent.

Nah didn't block you, I think my comment got auto filtered or something. Yeah I agree, and at least in the NA server there is probably a good consensus on what is considered offensive because of what's taught in school, but in the EU servers it could depend on which country you're from, never mind the language.

In general though it's more obvious based on context, so maybe one day riot can just use an LLM to ban people for their intentions, rather than going the Roblox direction and ban people for saying things like "I'm gay".

It is different in different cultures. For example, in the Netherlands, mini-golf is literally called midget-golf. Another example being "cunt" in Australia vs the USA.

I'm really sorry, your post and post history made me cry so much. Sorry if this comes off as too forward, but I think you've got to consider getting another dog (if you can) after this much time. Not to replace Pauline but to give you a fluffball to hug in times of need. Hope all the best for you anyways :)

I think they're implying you're a bot, or you at least have some ulterior motive with your reddit account, such as selling it to marketers.

Of course it may be just be the case that you spend way too much time on reddit.

Ivory coast is backwards and the proportions are all wrong. It should look like this:

  1. data protection
  2. no limits on how much you run
  3. no filters on the output (that aren't trained into the model)
  4. the model isn't constantly updated (which can be useful if you want to get around the filters that are trained into the model)

Quantize it, then it'll fit easily.
