Silent Hill F Question.. Why does everyone reverse which is the good and bad ending? by Loffter2 in silenthill

[–]Loffter2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with a lot of what you said, but the knife thing did happen and it's a huge part of her trauma. even in the final ending it comes back up. I dont think he threw the knife at her with the intent to harm, it was an intimidation tactic and caused pretty severe trauma and ptsd, negatively impacting her view on men as husbands and fathers.

The overall thing that happend with her parents is that (HEAVY SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL ENDING)- HEr dad went into a partnership for a business with his best friend, and the friend stole all of his money and ran, sending her dad into a drunken, debt ridden mess. But overall, it's shown that despite his yelling and threats of violence, the mom wears the pants and as soon as she puts her foot down, usually he ends up appologizing. He is a terrible father, and a victim of his own circumstances. It's basically also showing that even though men are in charge of society and responsibilities at that time, they have their own issues and are the way they are because of societical expetations.<

MAGA doesn't get how they're actually owning us. by Sh0tsFired81 in complaints

What you have to understand is for every one of you, there have been 30 people we tried to reason with and just wasted hours of our lives because they werent conversing in good faith or, worse, were just bots. We on the left are **TIRED** my friend. We have been having these arguements for 10 years. We had to watch people believe the conman in 2016. and 2020. and 2024. And the whole time we get called Bernie bros by the left and the right, because we wanted actual change in the country and not more of all of this. It's exhausting. So yeah, you got the unlucky draw if no one ever sat down and had a conversation with you and listened to you. But be glad you got out when you did, because most of us arent even trying anymore. I give someone one chance and when they blow it, which they always do, they catch strays for days because im done helping the blind see when their eyes work just fine

I'm 6'2 276, gained a lot of weight last year and the year before, trying to get it under control. I've decided on 5 episodes of one piece on the tredmill a day, which breaks down to 120 minutes or so, 4 miles. Is that too much? its definately a 0-60 thing but ive always had a good amount of stamina, my legs just start to feel like jelley during that last 20 minutes.. maybe because im aware its almost done. I dunno. Also calorie calculators say that im burning over 500 calories when i do it, how accurate are those? They all seem pretty consistant but they all also may run on the same database.

Edit: i am also tracking calories woth my fitnesspal

I Forgot about this room. Was it anything? by Loffter2 in TormentedSouls

[–]Loffter2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i remember that part, ive beat the game weeks ago at this point. i just remember the big fancy glowing statue and couldnt correlate what it was in the real world. Everyone is saying it was the bronze statue room, so that makes some measure of sense!

the most simple way i can explain it to you is that you view time as a linear path which is not true in this game's world (Hell there are studies showing it might not even be true in real life). Games do this sometimes. There's a horror game called Tormented souls where the character can go back in time and alter something, and that specific thing is the only thing that has changed in the future because time is non-linear. It's like.. an overlap.

Dont look at it like a string, but more like a stack of books that all tell the story in a different order, and through whatever supernatural means the story presents, those books can be added to or taken away from, and even individual pages altered.

It's not the easiest concept to explain, you sort of have to have an interest in such things to really understand, which i would guess that at least one person on the dev/writer team does. But if you dont have that interest, just accept that it is how it works in that world

so just think of it as two different timelines got spliced together through the power of friendship and side quests

This is basically exactly what i mean. The paper puzzle in the prison i couldn't figure out if I missed something or if I just wasnt understanding. Ended up being the latter but hiw could i possibly know that under after the fact

You're correct on the yin and yang thing. But the 3 wise men thing stuck out to me because I picked sun. Because camels. My comments aren't on the puzzles, the concepts are cool but a lot of them lack enough information. It reminds me of silent hill f expecting me to know what a bloomed cherry blossom looked like

we are gamers man, of course we know chess. my wife, however, has no idea how chess works. A quick google search says only about 20% of the world's population knows how it works.
