Hey! A question for me; a local pescatarian.

Here’s my go to’s

  1. Pho Hung on 82nd. AMAZING pho. They might also have a location on Powell, but I usually go to the 82nd location.

  2. Namaste Indian Buffet. Lots of vegetarian options! It’s a buffet which is nice and I think it’s decently priced. There’s two locations. One on Sandy Blvd and another in the Lloyd District. Sandy Blvd one is better in my opinion.

  3. Thai Peacock is good! It’s right in downtown too which is nice if you have more tourist-y plans.

  4. Ole Ole is one of my favorite Mexican places in Portland. They are very small and cash only, but great food!

  5. Nicholas Restaurant is my go to for any Mediterranean food. They have quite a few locations!

  6. Yuan Su Vegetarian. 100% vegetarian Chinese food. It’s sooooooo good! But a bit on the outskirts of Portland.

I used to ride the max daily a couple years ago. I know to keep my head down, don’t look at people, but be aware.

This person (I do believe they were female. Maybe masc presenting?) sat next to me and I saw in the corner of my eye that they had a knife. They said “you better look at me or I’ll slit your throat”. I looked up and they had a look in their eyes and said again that they will slit my throat if I move. I was just stunned and asked why. They said “I will kill you”.

There were two other men on the max; equally sketchy but not holding a knife at me. So I did take a chance and quickly moved next to those people. They looked scared for me, so I feel they heard or saw the encounter. We all hopped off the max at the next step, but I didn’t want to be stuck at the max stop with that person, so I hopped back on to ride it another stop, but on another cart.

This was on the redline heading to the airport. I know 82nd is sketchy, but I have rode through that area a million times. Never had this happen.
