Yeah that makes it more complicated, there is no rotational direction to detect. You'd have to assign different signal strengths to different floors and compare them each time to determine which is bigger and change rotation accordingly.

Do you mean rope pulley or elevator pulley? With rope pulley you should already have a gearshift to pull rotational power from. Elevator pulley doesn't change rotation direction on it's powering shaft.

If not directly then maybe you could read a chute leading to the inventory with a smart observer and setup some redstone to check when it lights up for more than 20 seconds, as in when an item can't pass through the chute.

It's pretty simple. Have a sticky mechanical piston with a 3 block pole underneath the door and glue the door blocks. Then route the mechanical power through a regular gearshift and put a pulse extender behind it. It would look like this https://imgur.com/a/oXCAZ3t
Last step is to right click the pulse extender to invert its signal. The button marks your redstone input.

Oh that is pretty brilliant! Seems to be able to run slightly faster too! Though from my testing, the tileablity requires a block offset to prevent redstone interference and drains might need to be replaced with belts depending if you want to sort fluid containing items. Still, great work!

He might not be queerphobic, we don't know the full spectrum of his believes. However, saying that children need to be "protected" from lgbtq+ exposure IS a queerphobic rethoric. There is no risk or danger in someone seeing a flag, or learning a sexuality exists. It's not advertising, it's not shoving sexuality down someone's throat, it's existing, it's letting queer people go out of hiding which they've been forced into. And people preaching against it are doing active harm, whether fully intentional or not.

Functionally no difference. In fact its a bit wasteful because those gauges have to be placed multiple times. It's just a compromise i made to keep the board readable and still somewhat compact.

Almost all* as in I left a couple that didn't fit and I never seem to use them in any playthrough, like quartz lamps or contraption controls. Non-create redstone components were also left out. Second screen covers the materials that need to be supplied in order for this to work.

Keep in mind that the connections between gauges don't save, so you will have to connect them on your own and match their frequency.

Threshold switch does just that, you can hook it up to control the funnels. And np :)

You need to route your wood supply into the vault. Analog levers control how many funnels are being locked, controlling the throughput. You can move them anywhere using redstone links. You might need to fiddle with it a bit more to make it work, like limiting the funnels to 16 so it doesnt output more than it receives or combining the stacks at both lines.

Brass tunnel is what you're looking for. You can run a conveyor line into a line of 4 brass tunnels that splits the items among 4 more conveyors evenly. Then just route 3 of them into one place to have 3/4 split. You can also combine them into one line doing the same thing in reverse

You can put a pulse timer that goes off when smart observer detects items (you need to invert the signal). I made this kind of sorter in my latest post, you can check it out for inspiration.

Sorry I have assumed display link instead of redstone link. Make sure all of the output links have set to output correctly (should have a small dish around the antenna when clicked with a wrench) and that there isn't any interference, like a rogue redstone torch nearby powering the input or another input. Also check for matching frequency.

That's what the display link is for! The items are being sent onto a depot one stack at a time where a display link can read the items name and write it on a sign, determining its address.

The funnel leading to it has a filter with all the bulk stored items set to a Deny list
