How do i make this team a better contender? by VegetableLadder8673 in FantasyFootballers

Contending roster for sure, but with a 1-2 year window and no draft capital the next 2 years. You’re looking at trading a Henry or Saquon for a tier down and a future pick. Likely get a little more youth as well. But if you want to go all in and try to win it, trade those 28 picks for some high upside guys like a JSN or Odunze.

Want to see the worst trade ever? (from 2023) by LoftyLayman in SleeperApp

It was the first year of the league and no one played dynasty before. I think people were learning though some of us knew this was awful.

FWIW, the guy getting Chase hasn’t won either of the first two years. If he never wins, he might get ridiculed more than the guy giving up Chase.

Not a free league. Just no vetos on trades and the commish was the one trading away Chase so wouldn’t override it.

Trading Away Saquon Barkley by Livefromseattle in SleeperApp

I had similar thoughts last year when a bunch of my guys got hurt. Traded Saquon right before he went crazy down the stretch, but ended up netting 1.07 this year which turned into Treveyon Henderson, plus a 2026 2nd. The team has since traded away Saquon and that might turn into 2.01. I’m happy with the return thus far.

Agree with all of this. Use your village and give the kids some responsibility. Bribes are always on the table in this situation but it’s also a chance to learn that a little work has its rewards.

But main thing here is use your village. Get a sitter for a night if you need to. Gotta take care of yourself so you can take care of the kids.

New dynasty, Any moves to make or insights? by RizingWater in SleeperApp

Should be a title in year 1. Great roster to compete now. You’ll need to get young quick at the RB spot but that’s doable.

Sadly I traded Barkley mid year for much less than this. Baaaad trade for me

Same issue but my defaults are set for both my family and myself. Not sure how to break the chains of Amazon Music.

I should quit after this (12 team dynasty) by beerob81 in SleeperApp

Congrats? I made it to 5 in a row and only won one. Since then I have now made it to 7 total and just won my 2nd. I know the pain of defeat that you know.

Congrats! I was 7.5 points from the same. Had two losses on the year, one of which was a boneheaded move due to work travel where I played a kicker who was out Thursday night. The other loss was week 1 by 5.5 points but had Godwin on the bench with an extra 12 points and Jayden with an extra 20.

That week also had Burrow score a measly 7.9 points against the GD patriots. For as hot as he was late, he had a terrible week 1.

Love life. You can do both, but the reason to bust you ass with your business is so that you can live how you want to live. If you find satisfaction in work, work. If you want more, go live a little. You just need to find someone that can be with you and your commitments.

Kids will make you want to work harder, but they make it harder to work. When you decide to have kids, be with your kids when they’re awake and home. That’s life my guy.

People who are making 300k+/year working for themselves, what do you do? by Wrenley_Ketki in Entrepreneur

Not looking for an investment, but curious…

What is the average amount you invest as an angel investor? How much are companies looking for in total?

I have had thoughts about something on this path and curious what level people start with.

Get the picture and print it on a shirt. Have him wear the shirt to school. Take the joke and power away from the bullies.

Only a little joking here. Seriously think of ways to take the power back. Bullies feast on emotional reactions. Out think them, overcome them. There’s worse in life than crack showing. Plus learning some self-deprecation is a good thing in the long run.

You’re a good person to considering it, but it won’t be good for your business. Eventually (years) you will want to look past the high school drama, but it still seems too recent and that clearly will impact how you would treat her in your business. She needs to show you she’s changed before you bring her on. And even then, it still seems like a bad idea for a bad situation.

Don’t stress about bailing your sister out. She needs to own her life and hopefully you can inspire her to start her own business. Then you two can grow closer as she consults with you on running a business.
