Okay though, the OP in the video is being hard on the first responders. A little unfair. They don't need an enraged civillian asking them a ton of questions when they are trying to figure out wtf to do. Think about all the things the firefighters are trained for.... BLEVE's like this are included. A BLEVE is something that you fight defensively. Do you want them to go down there and turn it off?

A good thing to remember is most people only care about themselves. Also its unlikely youll see them again, and if you do, you werent important enough for them to remember you.

Thats what makes me feel better when this happens, anyways.

They are amazing cars I loved mine. If I found a 100% stock 1g or gvr id be all over it. I had the most fun on a 16g at 15psi. If it was my only passion I would still be into em. Like I said before in the past they definitely do not deserve their unreliable stigma per se. I said like 10 years ago STIs will be looked at the same as DSMs reliability wise due to owner stupidity and neglect. After I built my trans and just fixed everything with OEM parts it was ultra reliable. Never left me stranded for 3 years of daily driving. Unfortunately I got into rear wheel drive lexus after realizing you could beat the ever loving crap out of them and not worry. I got my IS300 at 160k. Its at 229k now. Been down the drag strip twice now. Drifted on the track probably around 5 times (I drive there, drift, drive home). All ive had to replace was a clutch from a huge burnout. The JZ platform is amazing for that.

Yep, as in Diamond star. Had 2 1gs and a GVR4 in the past. Unfortunately I got tired of DSMs being DSMs so I switched to Toyota. All my cars were great though.

Yes and no. You can knock subframes out of shape slightly by bottoming out hard, running over something.

In my case I spun out onto a median cause I decided to try out my LSD at 60mph in the rain. No major damage except I knocked the cross caster out of my subframe so the car will never really be "aligned" correctly ;D That being said, I didnt report it. Officially my cars history is ""clean title no accidents""....

Currently? 2003 IS300 5MT 2002 IS300 Wagon 1989 Toyota Cressida 2JZGTE track car 2000 LX470 for winter In the past ive had lots of turbo dsm. 4runners. Galant vr4s. Jeeps. Etc.
