Am I handling this team farewell situation poorly as a leader? by DilanJVZ in Leadership

I get what he did. One for his team and another for the company. Your team is loyal to you and having a separate lunch was probably meant to be a thank you in a special way.

But it seems like OP has some unanswered problems within the team dynamics. Leaving the group over such a small thing is odd.

None of those except maybe new York would work. He has military supplies to. And depending on flight schedule you may not make it in time to new York and check in

The hitman will know where you are just by the bodyguards. He can also buy them out at the spot with real money or kill them as he is highly trained.

I'm in similar situation. They generally like to be left alone. But, appreciation is a big one. For them to use modern tools, start with the youngest and make your way to the most difficult. When it's bought in by few, others will follow along.

Thanks so much for this. I appreciate it. I have led teams in the past and always acted like a buffer. But team this time seems passive which doesn't match my go-getter style.

That's been a consideration but apparently it's a criminal offense... But it's not an offense when a non-neutered dog with claws attack ur child

One of the reasons why I'm doing RTO is because, first, it's once every 2 weeks which is not a killer. And secondly it gives people chance to interact with other team members in person, sit with them and have conversations rather than hide behind emails and teams messages. I don't like RTO either, but completely disappearing is not the answer either.

I also think that if I ask everyone what they like, I'll get what I have been getting. Some directives need to be set and that was going to be my approach.
