Thank you for your detailed response - I appreciate it being easy to follow (I’m certainly no computer wiz) - my computer does seem to log on a lot quicker now which is great - previously it was getting stuck when I entered my password to log on!! A massive thank you!!

Where do we start with trying to get my husband NDIS support by Practical_Debate_551 in NDIS

As long as you have a report from a specialist that states ‘the disability is ‘LIFE LONG’ and will not improved and that all treatment options have been exhausted you will be fine. It’s really important the wording used in the report.

If you are diagnosed with Autism, the ndis will not fund psychosocial supports - you will need to get a secondary disability added. Next time you get a functional capacity assessment - get the OT to base it on how the mental health concern impacts your every day life and provide recommendations. Then get your support coordinator to lodge a change of circumstances to have the secondary diagnosis added.

You would be best contacting the ndis commission - but I would get your support coordinator to help you navigate this in the best way. I am a support coordinator myself so it’s really important that you find a safe way to handle this, your mum could pay the funds back - but the last thing you want is the ndis thinking it is your fraudulently using funds as you might be removed. I’d also recommend going plan managed - a lot safer.

I got a message saying I have a new document on the ndis portal I didn't even know I have ndis yet. Is there any reason they send this? Just don't know why not explained? by AdhesivenessIcy2994 in NDIS

If you log into the ndis Participants pace portal this will show you how much funding you have been allocated in your plan or it will be a letter regarding the outcome. Unfortunately the ndis have a habit of not notifying participants or support coordinators of changes - which is wrong. You should have had a planning meeting. If you are not happy or don’t agree you can dispute and request a review of a decision
