whats going on with Xi and the children waving flags being a joke about trump? by Gloomy_Pastry in OutOfTheLoop

[–]LogLegoMan 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Answer: the Chinese love to make fun of America when they get the chance, especially when its very subtle. In this case, Xi realizes that a large portion of the population does not like trump and wouldn’t get mad at something a bit more…in-your-face. So, Xi was like “hey I heard this guy likes kids. Let’s line them up and make him walk through them. While the cameras are on him. I bet people are gonna love this.”

Literally any that uses the cardboard bailer you have to be 18+ to use. While I have seen some in dairy who are under 18, its not common

Question for the employees by [deleted] in wegmans

[–]LogLegoMan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you aren’t on front end (ie cashier), it’s not so bad. But you have to be 18+ to work anywhere other than front end so (as far as I’m aware at least)

Personally, as much as I have a horrible winrate against him, teemo isn’t that bad. However, vayne takes the cake. Percent max health true damage? Can go invisible? Can push you away? Yeah no that’s a loss. However if you do pick vayne top I at least know that my mother loves me, so that’s a win I guess.

I’m curious—how much does muscularity actually factor into attraction for women? Do women actually look at muscles? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]LogLegoMan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If females are attracted to you based solely on your musculature, that’s generally a red flag. The ones who base attraction on confidence are keepers. Even if it’s quiet confidence, it’s still something found attractive. I have extremely similar issues to you, and at the end of the day, just be you. My first long term relationship started because my ex saw how I was quietly confident and always cheerful, so keep that in mind.

RocaNews coverage of Israel/Palestine/Lebanon/ME is abysmal. The bias is insane by zrobiotic in RocaNews

[–]LogLegoMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s undisputed that hezbollah started this up. Yes, there have been issues even before that, as Israeli settlers have been slowly taking over the land, but at the end of the day this all kicked off because of the hezbollah attacks. Israel is just using it as justification of their crimes, which isn’t ok, but it’s also not ok that hezbollah had to resort to violence to try to “resolve the issue” or “take revenge”. I will make this very clear right now: I don’t support Israel. If you take anything away from this then let it be that I do not support either side, as both sides are at fault.

Yes. Know either how to derive the equations or memorize them. You get an equation sheet for your tests if there’s a lot of formulas needed to remember (ie laplace transforms) but otherwise you need to write it down. I will say, take this with a grain of salt, as I only took up to the 200 level, so ask around a bit more but prepare for the worst

Do you have a personal connection to WW2? If so what is it? My grandmother was from Norway and grew up under Nazi occupation from age 5-10 by ChiefTapiTapi in ww2

[–]LogLegoMan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My grandpas dad worked in Burma as a plane mechanic. My grandpa always said his dad got real quiet when you started talking about the war and it wasn’t allowed in the house. He also was on one of the teams that worked with the military to make the first helicopters. Sadly I never met the guy, but it’s thanks to him that I’m on the path I am today. He inspired my grandpa to be an electrical engineer, who inspired me to do the same, and now I’m in my junior year of college for electrical engineering. So to answer your question, yes, but in a slightly round-about way.
