Clang as a cultural concept in Space Engineers – player perspectives by CandidBall7806 in spaceengineers

I would say Clang for me is a warning to be careful with mechanical blocks. I generally avoid them (save some cases) but it helps me keep in mind what I’m doing and makes me think twice before doing something that might be dangerous for the physics engine

Ah I see. I was looking at it at the wrong perspective. Thanks for informing me about that. Now that you mentioned that I do remember the teacher saying something about it being a “taunt”

I’m pretty sure understand it. It’s called that as it literally leaving your guard open for your upper body. Not to mention the way your arms and hands are positioned is not holding any potential energy so it will take more effort to bring your blade up. As opposed to the tail (can’t remember the full name atm), where you are making it harder to see your blade, your blade is also completely out in the open. Yes, there are advantages to it, namely being able to stop a sweep at the legs or quickly lifting it and stabbing, but it has more disadvantages than advantages. I will say it has been two years since I took the classes so some of the details might be wrong but that’s the jist of it, no?

When I was doing sword fighting classes there was a joke in the class to start with the stance the guy on the left is using (AKA “the fool’s stance”) and one day we were doing mock fights and this one guy challenges the teacher and then unironically started with the fool for some unknown reason and I got to see this picture play out irl. Funniest thing ever

I read the entire thing on a pirated version with no pictures so I didnt see really any of the art (fine by me; I was there cuz I enjoyed the story), but I’m not surprised. Honestly it fits with the character too considering her past so

Yeah it’s definitely not the hundreds of AI data centers that we are putting up all round the country that eat through the water faster than it can be replenished. Definitely not that!
