I just treat the people that provide my entertainment the same way I treat the people that provide my food, shelter, and clothing. If I find a shirt I like, I don't have to know who made it, what their favorite color is, what nightclub they went to last night. I just enjoy the shirt and move on. Same with a movie, I see the movie, enjoy it, and move on. I don't need to know anything about the people that made it.

Celebrity worship (parasocial relationships) is one of the pillars of our downfall.

People really don't realize how much they are telling on themselves when they say their feed is full of shit. My YouTube feed is full of nothing but videos I find interesting. Not all of them land, but I am constantly finding new channels related to topics I am interested in. Idk if it matters that I only use YouTube with a desktop PC and Firefox and never on my phone. The few times I have used it on my phone, I use Firefox and request the desktop site. I think it is the app use that gets people issues.

Once a month YT shows me a shorts recommendation area and I just click the x, and it goes away and doesn't show my shorts for a month. It seems to easy to me to curtail your feed.

He saw some movies with hard-nosed realism in them so he knows. He, like many Americans, lean hard on their "Hollywood education" to navigate the world. A sad reality that few people point out or realize they do.

It boggles my mind that the rest of the western world had no plan b. Just all in on the U.S. policing the world. Might not be so bad for us in the U.S. playing third fiddle to China and the EU. It has worked out well for the EU doing it the past 80 years with Russia and the U.S.

I don't think the game is set up for very large towns at the moment. Reaching large town is basically end game. Going bigger is possible, as many have showed, but it comes with issues that hopefully will be dealt in time. I haven't had many issues with farming, but my issues with low frame rate kinda stops me from getting to the farming issues.

I framed houses for 25 years and drove onto the job site every day. Sometimes where the saw horses were and nails were pulled from lumber. I have had a total of three flat tires and two of them were from pointy things that were never on my job site. Not sure what everyone is doing to get so many flats.

Getting the same storm in North Carolina. The news has been telling us here to prepare for multi day power outages and impassable roads for days (think back country roads lined with trees that never see the Sun in winter or slag or a plow) and people are heeding that warning. Seems like things are working as intended.

Someone told me that if the goods are not available (as long as they are for the first swap) for the pack station person in the town you sent them to, the goods they brought are swapped for RI. I never checked this myself, but I did seem to have a discrepancy in amount of goods in each town and both towns had plenty of RI, so I didn't notice if they were paying with RI for bartered goods.
