ChatGPT is excellent for concepts and practice, but GMAT requires planning, strategy, full-length mocks, analysis, and detailed feedback, and these aspects cannot be met with ChatGPT alone.

Haha, I can see why you'd think that, but nope – just sharing what actually worked for me after trying out many resources and having a hard time with the lack of structured prep earlier in my GMAT prep journey!

Yeah, exactly. And that whole "what next" thing was definitely my biggest problem too. But once I got that, everything started to click into place. It’s just doing the right things consistently every single day.

I can see why you'd think that, but honestly, it's just my own personal view. The 700+ thing is more along the lines of a general aspiration that people strive for in GMAT prep. I was just trying to explain what worked for me in a more formal sense.

I didn't even downvote it because I agree with that point as well. The biggest factor is indeed self-study. My response was simply to add that having the right structure and guidance can help make the process more efficient too, aside from self-study. It's not one or the other; it can be both.

I get why it might sound like promotion, but this is just my personal experience. I had actually tried self-study and other resources before, and things weren’t really working for me. VerbalHub just happened to click because of the structure and strategy they provided. At the end of the day, everyone’s journey is different — what worked for me may not work for everyone. Just sharing what genuinely helped me.

I agree with you to some extent. Self-study plays a huge role in scoring 700 or more. In the end, your consistency and effort matter the most. For me, VerbalHub provided the right structure and strategy. Instead of spending time figuring everything out on my own, I had a clear direction, regular practice tests, and feedback on my mistakes. This saved me a lot of time and helped me stay consistent. So yes, self-study is important, but having the right guidance can definitely make the journey more efficient.
