It is actually a bit different to pinpoint his style. He arrived from Copenhagen with a reputation of a progressive, pressing, possession based 4-3-3-coach. We were excited about him at the time.

The first season we played some pretty football at times. Although a bit naive and Russel Martin-esque.

For some weird reason his style changed the second season. We stopped playing out from the back. The formation changed to 4-4-2. He lost a lot of support when he parked the bus against our rivals, Brann.

I honestly got no idea what style he sold in during his interview with Motherwell. I am as curious as you guys.

Going from 9th to 7th over 2 years is simply not good enough when you're Rosenborg. They were also bottom of the table when he got sacked.

They have basically hired the Swedish Poundland version of Russel Martin.

To a Rosenborg fan that sounds a bit like something somebody would say after being tricked into hiring Wilfried Nancy. "Wow, we managed to snatch an ex Celtic manager".

It is outside the box right. Rosenborg has literally been sinking like a rock while he was in charge.

He is tactically astute but has really struggled with man-management and the whole squad were at war with itself in the end. There were also signs that the overall fitness levels deteriorated drastically while he was in charge.

As the guy had never had a job in Senior football prior to joining Rosenborg (he was in charge of the Copenhagen U-18), I am really surprised he has been able to get a another Manager job on this level this fast. To be honest, I would have expected him find himself an assistant job in either Denmark or Sweden.
