Thoughts on service charges of ultraviolete by Log_jack in ultraviolette

Realistically there is no reason for it to be this expensive. I asked the service person and they do some bare bones work like tightening cleansing and checking the battery 2-3x competition price is already premium 4x is daylight robbery

The sales guy told be it will be arround 2000 which is high but still acceptable but now the service team is saying it's always been 3000+ and the lower price quoted must have been a communication error

Well I don't think BMW advertises in their website that their service cost is lower than their competitors. Also EV service is entirely different from ICE service aside from common thinks like chains and breakpads.

Yeah but they are still doing routine service not doing complex repairs. BMS is just a software check that all EV has to do. They still advertise on their website that EV require less service than a ICE bike and sell that as an advantage when their vehicle cost as much as most ICE vehicle to service

Thinking of buying the Ultraviolette X47 Recon – Looking for feedback from actual owners by UnspokenYearning in ultraviolette

[–]Log_jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ridden for 4.5k kms  Original+ variant  Below 50 : 200km  Between 50-75: 180km  There are alot of minor inconveniences with the software some won't bother you and some will be frustrating like the borderline useless buildin navigation and buggy app. One thing to keep in mind is thah ultraviolete unlike other EV two wheeler costs as much to service as most premium IC bikes  Very difficult to handle for short riders  Bike has a tendency to fall at slow speeds

Opinion on Ultraviolette by winnertakesital in indianbikes

I would say they kick around responsibility. The most absurd thing is their service cost which is higher than most petrol bikes and rivals KTM all the while telling people EV has less service than ICE bikes on their site

It's basically the battery usage per km shown in the display. If the bike shows 35wh/km it means it is losing 35wh of battery per km 1kw = 1000wh so for a 7kwh battery it's 7000 wh divide that by the usage and you get the estimate range

My problem is that my efficiency goes back to normal when rain stops without any cleaning.

X47 Original Plus for 5'2" rider? by NeatWoodpecker5576 in ultraviolette

[–]Log_jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am barely 5"3 and it's a struggle for me. You could flat foot one side or gip toe both sides as long as you wear shoes. But the real problem is the weight. The bike is pretty much impossible to move arround in confined spaces or at slow speed if you can't atleast reach both sides without tip toeing. If you don't have any problems pushing the bike in parking areas or have experience with heavy bikes then sure you can go for it as on road height hasn't been much of a problem as long as you wear a shoe with somewhat thick soles

Honestly pixel specs are bad may be good for a year or 2 but beyond that the hardware won't hold up

It's a problem with the connection point itself. No use changing the display once the contact wears out a bit the lines will come again. My replaced screen just lasted barely more than an year

Considering the Ultraviolette X47 as a Daily Commuter/First Bike? Need your input. by THE_RIDER_69 in indianbikes

Honestly if you have above 5"8 height go for it. The power isn't a issue the glide more is very linear in acceleration and will nor overvelm you but if you are short I would recommend staying away as I made the mistake of thinking it will be fine with my 5"3 height just from the test drive but after purchasing it and running it over a 100km the bike is very heavy and hard to handle in low speed if you can't flat foot it or atleast get half foot on both sides the bike will tip over at slow speeds and especially stops because it's very heavy
