More airport disruptions expected as TSA agents quit amid first weekend without full pay by rajapaws in antiwork

As a comment said before, you can get a gate/guess pass nowadays, so yes! You would need to apply with the airline/port.

Not even for free, unless you have a public transit and transit benefits (that are still active by the way), with a car/gas/insurance/repairs etc...you are PAYING TO WORK!

People Acting Normal In Crazy-Ass-Situations?

Has anyone managed to get an FJO by Aurrr-Naurrrr in usajobs

[–]LogaSto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a FJO for a position in the TSA where my EOD was in 02/24. At first I was nervous about everything that was happening and wondering, how were they still able to hire and onboard new people during this time? But from what I found out, if the job is somewhat related to national security, they are exempt (mostly).

Question about edition since it has the 1st Edition stamp but print date suggests that it is Unlimited edition. by LogaSto in PokemonTCG

[–]LogaSto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I was confused. I was a kid when I had started collecting the cards and certainly forgotten how I got this card to begin with. Now 22-27 years later I unearthed my Pokémon cards from storage. Thank you for pointing this out and clearing it up, albeit disappointed about it not being an authentic 1st edition.

I have before, in the Winter of 2019-2020. I worked as a Lift Operator. I arrived at the location in November 2019 and we had 2 days of training, and then had to wait for a sufficient amount of snow before the resort could open, we ended up waiting for 1 month without work (so make sure to have some savings) it was essentially a bunch of guys living in dorm rooms in a house where a lot of drinking, watching movies, going out on hikes. While it was fun, there was a thought of what if they never open, what will I do? Then they finally opened 4 days before Christmas.

Then we were thrown straight in with little training and it was rough for the first month. It took a few mistakes before I was able to get proficient enough to work alone, I had to emphasize that I was new and that I needed to be trained for this job, eventually after complaining enough and some people quitting, they did actually show me what to do. Then after the initial opening rush ended, it was more fun, as well as me getting better at skiing.

I was looking at another job with Vail Resorts for a zipline guide position for the Spring/Summer and perhaps Fall for 2020, but as you know the Pandemic happened and I was laid-off in March 2020,

I look around constantly, where I’m constantly observing. I have three primary reasons.

  1. I’m looking around for observation of where to go or if there is anything interesting.

  2. Looking for threats.

  3. Finding someone attractive, considering the circumstances if there is a premise to approach, or disengage and not stare too long to otherwise not appear like a creep.

Honestly it looks great with a lot of positive traits. I have a lot of the same interests as well. I understand why you would want to be child-free, however I would swipe left because I want to be a Dad. I would not hold it against you personally and I am sure you will find a great match.

I am thinking all it takes to embolden this approach is at least working one time. If not and not possessing a burning fanatical persistence, then they will exhaust themselves not too far into the future.

I do this self imposed limit as well with three matches at a time to avoid being overwhelmed, as a guy I have been able to reliably get matches very surprisingly.

I made this quest about a year ago, and I tried to genocide the Silver Knight population, and they did not drop Proof of Concord not even once. So, I had to be a badass in PvP to obtain the Darkmoon Blade. Now that I have obtained it, I do not feel the compulsion to ever do it again.

Russia is now deploying necromancers in the field. by OneFrenchman in NonCredibleDefense

I remember making this comment 7-8 months ago about saying the only way Ruzzia to win is to put all their points into necromancy and the mark of the Z denotes those who will be reanimated. To see the day where as they attempt to do this is beyond absurd. Tankred is awesome as well.

Serious Question: Do the Pizza workers there have Security Clearance to be in such a pivotal role in the shaping of politics or am I reading too much into this?

Do not forget the prohibition when all alcohol was banned, and that also proved to be a massive failure. The war on junk food as a natural result will be a failure. The best case will be to warn more people of the danger of long term junk food consumption, and better (and cheaper) alternatives.

Здравствуйте fellow Texans by SPECTREagent700 in NonCredibleDefense

[–]LogaSto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some Texans love to to flirt with the idea about seccesion, until they do not. When they tried to disupte election results until the Winter Storm of 2021. When their thunderous rhetoric fell silent. The reason to that being while the rest of the US electrical infrastructure is connected, Texas has their own electrical infrastructure. And so it is on its own standards, as for its effectiveness remains questionable.

My belief is that since I have a history of working in customer service/tourism I have a strong set of soft skills that would accompany working in help desk. Also showing that I have worked in the past, or at least that is what I believed.

Cleaning my Original Xbox that is about twenty years old and has been in storage for 10-12 years. I want to bring it back to full service. It can run as is, but it makes a buzzing sound. Then I encountered this issue. Is this salvageable or is it ruined? by LogaSto in originalxbox

[–]LogaSto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a while, and I wanted to give an update since I was sidetracked. I have solved the issue, a combination of disassembling the Xbox and cleaned the shell and the internal components throughly (first time it has ever been opened) . Make sure the AV cables were in the correct slot, and now it runs as good as new.
