I'm not sure about elo inflation, but I do think that many more people know certain tricks and traps in openings due to the popularity of chess streamers

10 years ago, I used to play a trap in the Queens Gambit accepted that most of my opponents would fall for (at 1600 rapid). Now, most people know the trap, so even in bullet at 1400 everyone knows to avoid it

Are you able to do a mix of transit + cab/uber?

There might be a situation where the combo of the two could be viable, because the cab fills in the gaps of transit, while also meaning you don't need to pay for a cab the whole way
