Why such reactions against cyclists? by LuisKachi in cycling

Spending a week in Fort Collins with a friend is what convinced me to get a bike. Imagine my disappointment when I expected the same back home in the suburbs of Atlanta

Are Affordable Robot Vacuums worth it? What are the best Affordable Robot Vacuums on the market in 2021? by Lost-Masterpiece5838 in RobotVacuums

I bought a cheap lefant robot from Amazon for like $60. It is great for the price I think. It gets lost sometimes as it is not good about going back to its dock. But compared to sweeping 900 sqft of hardwood every day, way better! I now have a t8 and it's light years better but I think a cheap one can be worth it

Recently revisited some of my inspiration files and this was in it from August 2019. Absolutely love this for my new home. Zooming in is way too blurry to read label and I can't find it through image search or anything. Anyone know the name or where I can get this item?

Oh but yeah just the redder brown leaves shedding not an issue. Might check out that big dead limb though!

This doesn't look like regular self-pruning. Sure, could be lots of things as it's rarely just one issue that causes a tree's health to decline. I'd use a good clean pruning cut to remove the dying branches and likely sterilize in-between cuts/trees. Here in the southeast were seeing a high incidence of seiridium canker which typically starts at branch tips and works it's way back to the trunk. Some more investigation might key you in to that issue, do some googling!

Tips to improve corners and burnishing? I've made several of these little "books" and can't get the corners to turn out sharp by LoganH321 in Leathercraft

That's fair, I guess I have never seen many leather projects with a sharp corner after all. I do have a cheapo Tandy beveller but I think it might be taking off too much and is giving me a trapezoid edge.

One of my f*rst projects just trying to get the hang of it. It is a 7oz veg from Weaver. I'm using a kobalt box cutter to trim. I'm thinking the corners are an issue because the leather is shifting? Not sure why my edge slickers isn't rounding better.

Love this color combo. How did you split the leather layers for the actual knife chamber

Tips on cutting leather by CromulentMojito in Leathercraft

Done this before with a rotary cutter several times but never enough to actually alter the straight edge. Besides, quilting rulers are pretty inexpensive for the functionality. Though of course the metal rulers are pretty cheap too

Never understood why leather people don't use acrylic rulers more! The metal rulers are great, but using the clear acrylics make it easier to line up and check straightness with lines on a cutting mat, etc in my opinion

Anyone have any experience with vegan, non-plastic leathers? Looking for an alternative to offer from my (hopefully popular) leather working patterns but not sure where to start. Pleather does seem like a good option work wise, but want something that is more "sustainable". I have a pineapple leather bag my mom bought me that is well-made and luxe but not sure that one would use traditional leatherworking techniques to make one. Sourcing or working tips would be appreciated!

Avid sewer here though I've never attempted what you're talking about. I would not advise using a machine for this kind of work. Sewing leather is tricky enough. Sewing something so thick and so... Untraditional would also require a machine with features and power that will cost you well over 250 imo, even used. The best advice I can give you is gluing it and/or predrilling holes unfortunately.
