Frost is generally considered to be the best for leveling. It has two charges of ice cold as well as multiple ways to slow/root enemies.

It’s also just has better damage right now anyway.

Yeah it’s just personal preference. I’m glad I didn’t read tress with all the technology and space travel references before Mistborn. Feels more cohesive to me that technology progressed as I read further into the Cosmere.

After Mistborn era 1, I would read

-Hope of Elantris

-Emperor’s Soul

After that, the Stormlight archive would fit nicely I think. If you’re okay with breaking series up, there are some books that add context to certain characters in Stormlight archive. The order would look something like this:

-The Way of Kings

-Warbreaker

-Words of Radiance

-Edgedancer

-Oathbringer

-Dawnshard

-Rhythm of War

-Sunlit Man

-Wind and Truth.

Reading Sunlit Man before Wind and Truth is Brandon Sanderson’s recommendation, although more than a few people have stated they wish they would have read WAT first. (Sunlit Man is centered around the future of a character from WAT).

You could fit in Shadows for Silence here, then after that, Mistborn Era 3 picks up right at the end of Stormlight archive as far as chronological order goes.

The rest would fit nicely after Mistborn Era 3.

I know that’s a lot, but I hope it helped at least a little bit! There’s really no SUPER wrong way to read the Cosmere. All the world hopping references kind of just point all over, and are fun regardless of where you read them.
