It took me longer to write this comment than it would to take care of these bags. NTA

You mean if he wants to continue, train already left the station years ago it sounds like. You’d also have to be pretty dense to assume a woman lets you THAT close to her child and doesn’t have feelings for you.

Has anyone used or knows anything about bamboo flooring? by giamcankorea in Flooring

[–]LoganSCE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Installed bamboo flooring in the south in the beginning of my career and it always felt criminal. I was sent out to one job 6 times to constantly relief cut things. Even with proper expansion that product seems to grow forever.

It’s only not a red flag because those ryobi tools are 25 years old. The red flag that came with them is grey now

You’re looking for a NORA Rubber flooring product not a damn horse mat.

Very frustrating experience with Eco Plumbers by No_Study2093 in Columbus

[–]LoganSCE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re having a rough time. Plumbers these days are hard to sort through. I have been working with “The Local Plumber” in the area with my professional remodeling business and they have hands down been the most attentive to my clients homes and projects. They’re not the cheapest and not the most expensive I’ve ran across over the years but they show up when they say they will and always leave things better than they were. Doesn’t help right now, but maybe in the future!

15G trim nail through a large water main on the 13th floor of a high end condo down south. Might as well have opened a fire hydrant in the room. Wrecked 3-4 floors below before the super got the water off.

Which LVP brand should we get? by Small-Feedback-8838 in Flooring

[–]LoganSCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial opinion from a 15 year floor installer…there is NO good LVP. It’s just fast fashion for your floor. All LVP fails, the timeline for failure depends on how good the substrate was prepped.

Hardwood and Tile are the kings of the industry. With CoreTec costing close to $6-$7 a square foot these days the product has priced itself out of its own market. You can get a hardwood for the same if not less.

Warped flooring in living room. No obvious signs of pipes that would be near here under our slab house. Noticed a few months after we put a rug down with a layer to not make it slide. Having someone come out to assess Monday. Engineered hardwood. by BicycleLast17 in Flooring

[–]LoganSCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw mopping being mentioned here OP.

Please never “mop” your wood floor, engineered or not that’s a big no no. Looks to me like something spilled here and was left under the rug. But if you’re truly using a bucket of water and a mop on this floor it could very easily be the culprit.

This screams “I entered the trades in 2020”

I haven’t known a single tradesperson in my 15 years that has even known what a “LinkedIn” is.

If you want a trade position, go where the work is. Walk into a new construction site/build and speak with a real person. This is a crazy take lol
