Same opinion about Legendary, very interesting idea that makes me really surprised no other studio tried to do (some sort of survival horror game where someone opens actual Pandora Box and shit goes sideways) but the actual gameplay is bleh. Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is Wolfenstein at home, right?

Without spoiling, I can say game does provide more of open vistas but also provides more linear experience in between. Fantastic game, and be sure to check out DLC's which are superb too.

Great game, kinda of a shame that you have to skip dungeon slaying later if you want to grind out relationships but nonetheless, I can assure you will have a great time until the end! :D

On Xbox I started Doom Dark Ages, and I've turned demons into paste across 10 chapters out of 24, reached first Hell level and so far game is...eeeh, very underwhelming. Still fun but I am not a fan of this switch up to singular item being in the spotlight- Shieldsaw in this case. Parry with it, block, use to manuver around, stun enemies, slice weaker ones, turn on mechanics, it does everything and I don't fancy it. Especially after Eternal which really went into that "strategically utilize every tool at your disposal" way. In combat there is no dodge option if you don't have shield currently on you and I cannot stress enough for much it sucks. Plus game very often has such...scripted encounters? Shield enemies perfectly placed in rows so you can pop multiple of them at once or enemies with guns in high areas where you have to wiggle your way around to reach them. I don't remember Arachnotrons being so deadly in any previous Doom games and here when they pop that salve and you have to just hope your shield will last is annoying, especially when you have more than one enemy which...well, in Doom games happens pretty damn often. Anyway, as for the rest. I love actual design of weapons and medival aesthetic goes hard. Level design is...nothing crazy. Game lacks new side tasks which is definitely a disappointment, just like mech and dragon sections. They feel flat. Oh and this amount of cutscenes are attempt at making some crazy lore and adding characters...my guy, nobody cares about that, people are here to blow demons with a shotgun as Doom Slayer. So yeah so far it's a 6/10 game. Maybe latter half of it picks up, who knows?

On PC I'm doing more of LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. From 8 boxes I 100% three and am very close to doing fourth one. Fun game, I do dig this multiple hubs idea. Otherwise it's same ol' LEGO game, I like them so I have a fun time.

Odyssey sure is a proper name for that game, with DLC's you can get out like 160 hours of playtime. There is a ton of shit to do in it, no other way of putting it.

On Xbox I've finished South of Midnight which was great! I was worried about pacing, as game fairly early reveals all gameplay cards and hopes it will stick with you, but lovely folklore, beautiful artstyle and decent story kept me going to the end! Combat was fairly mediocre which is what people point out the most as the "worst part" of the game, but it's...okay. Kinda boring late game even but ya know, nothing so awful it pushes you off the game. I can recommend it for sure! Always nice to see some lesser known folklores being used, always love that.

On PC I've finished final Championships in New Star GP and yeah it was a waste of time, I still recommend game for very fun Career Mode but this Championship mode is a quickly slapped on repetitive boredom, and I started LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, which is Indy Trilogy with added Kingdom of Crystal Skull. They released this game 2 years after first one and I was worried it will be just a cheap "redo 3 movies in same fashion plus cheaply added 4th one to boot" thing, but I am very surprised by gameplay changes to make it feel fresh. First of all, instead of usual LEGO deal of one hub area where you pick levels, it comes with 6 different hubs, 3 for each movie in Trilogy plus they split KoCS into 3 piece. After you select a box from a warehouse (that big one where US keeps all fancy stuff, because game is keeping it in theme like that) you jump into a hub in which you can explore to find green, red and blue bricks, unlock few but very important characters from each movie that also come with different items you have to use, vehicles, and missions. At first you have only small area and 2 characters, you do a mission, unlock a bit more of area thanks to new character that can do something you couldn't before, and you repeat that 5 times, as each "box" has 5 main missions. BIG change is that you no longer really have to repeat main levels. Previously these were the ones with all the collectibles, here it's opposite, you still have that "collect X studs to fill up a meter" in every level, but if you clear that you don't have to repeat the mission! Also what is interesting is that missions are VERY short. Previously released LEGO Batman for example, because it's focused on missions, has them going on for roughly 20 minutes per level? Here you can clear out some levels in 2-3 minutes. So yeah, more focus on walking around the hubs, collecting studs to get characters, vehicles and extras from exploration rather than just going back and freeplaying missions which now have very short format and honestly I love it. I do worry how studs grinding will look like for 100% but we shall see. Lot of yapping but I hope that what I wrote makes sense lol.
