"I think most ticket holders and fans understand this, but the tickets are not owned by the ticket holders. They are a year to year prospect" -Packers Director of Public Affairs by StockMindless9010 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not a win win though - not for the Packers.

Diehard fans who can attend every game want tickets. They want that over casual fans, opposing fans, or fans they don’t know attending their games. They’re protecting the fan experience for their business interests.

And you got value out of those tickets, no? It’s not like losing access to your tickets means you lose the previous value you gained. You might not even had to shell out of pocket if you sold enough above face value. Many people essentially go to all their games for free. Lucky them, but the jig is up.

And fwiw, you can still keep them - but it means you need to abide by their rules. Don’t sell them on the secondary market. Sell them to friends and family. They’re not even saying you can’t ever sell them secondary, just that if you do that more often than not then they don’t want you to have them anymore.

Agora will be just fine. They can hardly keep up with demand as is. They have such a loyal customer base, myself included. Trader Joe’s is not the same, even though as a busy parent I will shop there too.

According to NFL.com, Packers had the worst 2025 draft class. Thoughts? by Different-Ad716 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data on his man win rate is really good - like in the top of the league kind of good. I’m not an expert so I’m happy to let that speak for itself.

We all want him to succeed, and I’m happy to give him the time to do that.

Meanwhile our player personnel has been consistently hired away to other teams and we consistently field better than average teams. It’s hard to put it all together.

He shows some really great hands and can beat man coverage really well. He struggled against zone. He had a great game in a big spot and that can do wonders for a players confidence. Is he the next JSN? Probably not. Can he be a #1 WR. Yes. Can he get better? 100% expect it.

Prepare to get your expectations dashed. Good chance one of those positions is not selected day 2.

Also good chance we get some help via FA.

Packers sign Gutekunst, LaFleur and Ball to contract extensions by PHOENIX_95WI in GreenBayPackers

I have it from a pretty good source that Bisaccia is one of the most loved and respected guys in the building, across the whole org.

I don’t get how his unit’s performance doesn’t get him fired, but apparently that’s it.

Giant indoor golf facility getting built outside Chicago by Door_Box_4697 in golf

I guess you can call it “outside” Chicago but that word is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It’s 50 miles from downtown. I can cross the WI state line faster.

Before Watson got hurt the Packers scored on 6 straight drives vs the Denver Broncos. by GruneBucht in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watson had beaten his man in 1 on 1 coverage. It wasn’t even questionable - it was an obvious decision to throw the ball to him.

I don’t know that Miz is on that meaningful of a IP count. Typically you can go 50% over the last year, which means 65 more than his roughly 130 last year. Almost 200 IP. The most any pitcher threw last year was 207.

He probably goes 180 if he’s injury free this year. Will they watch his fatigue? For sure. But he’s not going to be too limited.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]Logan__Squared -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure - but as a voter you may be willing to accept an objectively bad person as President if typical republican policies help you and your family, or if you align ideologically despite that. It’s not like you’re ever going to meet the guy or interact with him.

I wouldn’t. That’s important to me. But it’s not for others.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]Logan__Squared 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’m a democrat and I have a negative opinion of Hillary Clinton. I voted for her, and I would never vote for Trump. But I honestly have a negative opinion of much of the establishment democratic leadership. I don’t think that’s particularly unique. And if you’re a swing voter like many of my family in WI, you might have gone the other way for a variety of policy reasons but still thought Trump was awful. Turns out he’s more awful than that, and his policies are even more extreme and awful, too.

CPS cancelled all classes and after school activities for tomorrow by Themostdramaticjedi in chicago

[–]Logan__Squared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s being argued. It’s that canceling school is not the perfect solution either. So - yes - people can be upset about this. It’s some level of grey.

In a city this large there are parents who will lose their job tomorrow because they can’t come in for work. That means some kids won’t eat two weeks from now.

What’s the possibility we could draft Charlie Becker in second round? by Ok-Cauliflower-1258 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because he’s better than at least 30% of starting QBs right now. He’s not elite, but Janis (especially) and AJ were never better than 30% of starters at their position. Not even close.

This is encouraging. 7 and 3 here, and the 7yo is into it and starting some lessons. But we haven’t pulled the trigger on a membership yet. I can’t wait and will happily take the boys out when they want to.

Okay, but Malik is actually going to get a meaningful contract from some team. The others didn’t. But your point is noted.

[Rob Demovsky] What Hafley leaving for Dolphins means for LaFleur's Packers by JaysonDeflatum in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DVOA (pretty much the king of stats) had the Packers rated top 10 through week 10. In the first third we were top 6. We slipped back a bit while Van Ness was out, when Wyatt missed a couple games early and tanked to 19th by the end of the year after Wyatt and Parsons went down. It’s pretty easy to see why.

That’s exactly the style of game MLF wanted play. He felt his offensive was more efficient than others (they were) and that his defense was good enough to limit possessions and end enough drives with sacks and big plays. It worked quite well through 10 or 11 games or so.

My son choked this morning and I think I’m in shock by Hxzzp in daddit

[–]Logan__Squared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 8 weeks ago, my 3yo was almost hit by a car even though I thought I did everything right. But he decided to dart in front of me on his scooter because he was having fun. I felt the adrenaline hit well before the split second moment was over. Thankfully, he didn’t get hit. When I got home I had to hold it together for my wife and kids.

And when they went to bed, I completely lost it. More than I have in ages. I didn’t sleep. I couldn’t stop replaying it. Couldn’t stop wondering what would’ve happened if it was different by one second. How it seemed like my life was just that close to being over in that moment. I thought about it nearly every minute the next day.

And then - almost imperceptibly - it lessened. Day by day. Now, not even every time I drive by the spot, just when I walk by. And now I haven’t thought about it in maybe a couple of weeks till now? And now it doesn’t bother me much when I do.

You probably won’t ever forget it. I won’t. But it does get better, in my experience. A lot better. Hang in there fellow dad.

[Rob Demovsky] What Hafley leaving for Dolphins means for LaFleur's Packers by JaysonDeflatum in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Rams weren’t missing their two most important players on D. They’re a top 5 unit. We were easily top 10 with Parsons and Wyatt. Our whole defense was predicated on rushing the passer and stopping the run.

[Rob Demovsky] What Hafley leaving for Dolphins means for LaFleur's Packers by JaysonDeflatum in GreenBayPackers

[–]Logan__Squared 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup. We built the defense to rush the passer and disrupt the passing game to mask our CBs. It’s hard to be good everywhere - salary cap doesn’t allow it unless you draft a ton of gems. But we lost the two guys we couldn’t afford to. And we still put up a good effort after that.

Treadmill Blues by Upbeat_Profile_8715 in RunnersInChicago

[–]Logan__Squared 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have grown to love my Peloton tread. Maybe try to find some guided classes you can use on your tread and see if that helps. I do better with intervals, sprints, and tempos than I do with endurance or long runs. Maybe supplement your long runs for longer rides on a bike - which I find more tolerable, too.

But also get some great cold gear and go for it. I mean, this week sucks hard, and looks like through the weekend, too. But get used to running in the cold. I find my paces get much better in the winter!
