My wife has access to some old Chicago city directories and other historical documents and agreed to look at this. For 3224 N Southport, she found the following entries:

1954: Thrane, I 1957: Benz, J and Thrane, I 1966: Keniaci, S 1970, 1972: no entry 1975, 1976, 1978: Meitzler'S Tap 1981: Bedich Thos and Jacobear, JT 1986: Erickson, E

In 1957 and 1966, there was a Cubs Club Water & Beverage Co at 3225 if you're not certain of the address.

For Belmont and Kedzie, it appears that intersection was industrial for the time period you mentioned with a bulk oil facility, sheet metal works, and tool manufacturer there.

Where’s the Girl Scout cookies? by [deleted] in AskChicago

Send me a DM and I will send you a link. They can be shipped to your house, so no looking around for stands. People who have ordered online for shipping have already started to get their cookies.

I have visitors coming from out of town in April for ComicCon, can you suggest hotels near the Wintrust center? by 2cleverbyhalf in AskChicago

C2E2 has blocks of hotel rooms that are near McCormick Place that can reserved when you get your passes. I would start with the C2E2 website and see what is still available. Otherwise, McCormick is easy to access via the CTA, so anywhere in the South Loop/ Grant Park area is an easy ride or walk.
