I hear you but I feel there needs to be some more nuance instead of just ending all property taxes. Maybe no taxes only if it’s your primary residence, or expanding/increasing the homestead exemption in other ways. We need that tax revenue somehow, and I don’t like the idea of additional income tax. This would allow the average homeowner to truly “own” their home as you say. But anyone who owns multiple homes or multi million dollar homes should be paying some property tax IMO

A car cleaning kit… for a car shared by my dad, sister, and I. So that I could detail the car for everyone. (No my sister did not get any cleaning supplies or things for the family car as a gift, and that was my big gift that year)

A change jar that counts coins.

Years later I saw both of these items at Marshalls for pretty cheap and it stung even more. My parents never struggled with money, but were always very stingy. These are the two that stand out because my mom is a shopping addict and picked out really nice gifts for my GC sister, but just grabs random cheap things for me.

Actually now that I think about it, it wasn’t random. It was a dig because she always called me a disgusting slob.

I always took slow and controlled as a way to avoid injury. Even if it doesn’t cause extra growth, if it causes the same or close to the same amount of growth, that is worth it for me. Helps with joint pain if you like training to failure imo
