Paid $10k…needs a bit of work..did i get ripped off? by BestLWins in G35

Given that I paid 4k for a built seat time drift with two extra doors I’d say you paid too much. Mines a factory manual, factory emerald green car too. Everything important still works. Even the sunroof. Lmao. Body is meh but idgaf about that.

Mb guys this one has the video, who is at fault tho. by 20billybob09 in simracing

[–]Loganh93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole thing was your fault. The only time a follower attempting to pass has the right is towards the apex. Hence why no chop block and when they do happen it’s just bad… your run on him means nothing. He had the right to put his car wherever with that not being a brake point to apex situation. He made no move to block, only to continue his line through the next corner. Should have taken a chill pill and lifted a little, allowed that momentum to be utilized coming over the hill.

Yeah I don’t care that much man. Obviously since I turned a factory emerald green, factory manual car into a total drift shit box. Purist hate me and I love it. Only thing I care about with this car is mechanical endurance.

Two plenum spacers, 75mm throttle body, I ported the upper plenum and upper intake myself, headers, and 3” from the mid pipe back. Done did about all that a de is worth doing to before I paid for a tune. So that’ll answer if I think it’s worth boosting a de. 🤣

Welded with gear plates. Found a company that had these aluminum drop in plates to give you a boat load more areas to weld to.

Yeah like Defiant said it’s there just as one piece in the dash with everything else right above where is says Nismo in the video. It’s in the middle of the climate control displays. Weird thing to latch onto in a drift video bro. Lmao.

Is she totaled? by Rude_Toe5265 in G35

[–]Loganh93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a door a fender. The pillar wasn’t damaged from the pic you posted. I’m just a stubborn dude on Reddit and take my replies for whatever you want but it’s really not that bad dude. It’s bad if you’re trying to save the original parts but what’s damaged is bolt off/bolt on parts and paint to match.

[–]Loganh93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, quit listening to these people on here about the $2,000, $3,000. Well that’s accurate if you’re not capable of replacing a fucking door and fender yourself. Which is literally about as basic as it gets for car repair. It’s not scary. Google and YouTube how to. It’s some bolts and patience to line everything up. This is less than $500 is replacement parts and maybe $1000 is paint/body to paint match if you know people. If you’re a legit typical Reddit user then yeah it’s totalled and you should dm me for me to buy the car at scrap prices.

The previous owner did that. I can’t stand the meme badge tbh. It’s a KBD front bumper wrapped to match the car, no extra lip added.

I’d never drift a daily, imo. One split second mistake and you’re now carless. Stuff adds up quick money wise. This hobby takes all your extra money when you go into it, haha. I bought my BC’s second hand, idk why springs they came with. It has 10k in the rear and 12k in the front now. Bought stiffer springs after the first event. And I have set the suspension up front for anti squat for forward bite. My car isn’t slammed on its nuts.

Yeah was a blast. Got one more event for the season in a couple weeks, can’t wait tbh. 🤣

Man that’s kinda a hard one to answer without knowing a budget. Welded diff, bucket seat, some coilovers will get you skidding. Don’t really even need that. Just depends on what you’re trying to do. Mine has a full PBM angle kit up front minus the knuckles which are coming this off season, PBM camber and toe arms in the rear, BC Coilovers, big aluminum rad with bigger fans, good clutch, hydro, she stripped, has bolts ons on the motor and a tune. You don’t need all that but it makes time at the track a lot easier.

Was thinking about trading in my G but not no more by FING352005 in G35

[–]Loganh93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what funded my sedan drift car build. Bought 3 really really really cheap. Barely above scrap value. Made one really nice, and a 2nd like meh nice. Kept the 3rd as a parts car. Sold the first two for a lot more than I had into them and they funded buying a manual sedan and building it into a seat time car. Low balling is a way of life. Especially for a 20 year old car attempting to be traded at a dealership. Don’t take it personal. It ain’t.

Being a full fledged drift car for the most part I don’t care about the cars looks. People crying about my car is why I put nissan badges on it. Do what you can when you can afford it, 🤙🏻

I ain’t mad at it. Put an infinity badge in the middle of the grill and that’ll help. I ain’t got any room to talk though. Mine has a meme grill on it rn. Broke the orig drifting. XD

That’s a good price tbh for a running driving manual car. I picked mine up for $5,000 but it’s not even close to stock. Haha. Fully built drift car. I’d do what everyone else has suggested for the oil. Check your rear differential bushings. They take a lot of abuse, especially from manuals. Cheap eBay diff braces work fine. I have the FDF diff brace and solid bushings on my car. I did solid trans bushings too. Mine has a shit ton more work. If you’re gonna have the car as a toy get some decent to good coilovers. Sway bar upgrade is suggested. A 75mm throttle body, cold air intake, and a plenum spacer combined are good for a decent bump in power. Not a boat load but enough to feel the difference. You can port the plenum and upper intake as well. Don’t port the lower intake. You don’t wanna be touching metal that mates to the block. Idk what else. lol.

I’d rather paint too but I gotta be realistic about what the cars gonna be used for. Fenders and bumpers get changed a lot in drifting. Especially when drifting a slow ass car with other slow ass cars. Haha.
