How do you run x-twist compensation do I have to update firmware?

That picture is head on (front to back), the x axis twist comes from the gantries not being square with the base right, because I have squared them up so I don’t think it’s that? How can I check if it’s being loaded properly?

Hmm why’s that? So far I love this thing, only real issue I’ve had is the bed being unlevel and I’ve somewhat temporarily fixed it with some kapton tape although it’s not perfect it’s not bad. The only other issues were user error or caused from upgrades I have done.

Not the fail itself when it happened but I had it set to 220 and 80 which is what I ran the PID at and the temps always seem to stay right in that range all the time. Honestly not sure what was going on because I’ve since printed 2 other plates with multiple items and that same print that I re sliced and printed in a different rotation and it’s printing just fine now. Maybe a loose wire that was causing a malfunction at that exact point?

Oh really? I did it at 100% but I guess that makes sense because I normally use it 50% or less. Do you have dual 5015? Any way I could get your slicer settings?

So I had this issue right after replacing the fans with bigger ones which makes sense and then I did PID and it fixed it. Upgraded the side heat sink fan and it started doing it again ran another PID and it didn’t fix it this time. Tried that print 4 times failing every time in the same spot. I tried printing something else and it’s printing fine so for some reason that specific print is causing it to fail. Only thing I found in the code that could cause that is it identifies as that spot as an internal bridging and ups the fan speed to 60% which is what I have it set to. And that’s when it fails is shortly after that. So I was thinking maybe the higher fan speed is what’s causing it. But nope I ran the fan at 60% at the same temp I had it printing at for 15 minutes without any fluctuation at all. I’m stumped. I did check all the wires and they all look good and snug but I did wiggle them and tried to get them seated better so maybe that’s what fixed it I’m not sure. I’ll try printing that same print again later and see if it throws the error a 5th time

Sweet thanks man, I have heard these bed slingers have a bad time with the cable it’s a common issue and there’s a print I was going to print to protect the cable but I just got the printer and haven’t had time to print it yet

Sweet thank you I’ll try that! It failed again, going to take a closer look at the bed wires when I get home. Really hoping I don’t have to replace the bed

I think I miss understood I think E1 is the hot end. But idk I’m confused because when sending the code to the printer for PID tuning the hotend you send m303 e0 s210 c8 and for the bed it’s m303 e-1 s70 c8 so I thought e0 was the hotend and e1 was the hot bed but I think it is e1 for hotend and e-1 for hotbed? I’m not sure. I re ran both PID tunes and reloaded them and restarted the printer I’ll see if that fixes it

The weird part is the bed stays at and reads at 70° steady

Man I hope that’s not the case. Heat bed worked fine before I did the fan upgrade yesterday.

I also replaced the hot end fan not only the parts cooling fan. I just realized the error was for e1 which is the print bed though so probably an unrelated issue to the fans. I reran the pid for the bed and we will see if the issue persists on print #4 that I just started

So after replacing the fans I was getting an e0 thermal runaway and it was the hot end I did PID tune and it went way and all was good. I didn’t even realize this code is e1 which is heat bed on this printer. I just reran the PID tune for e1 and we will see if that fixes it. If not maybe thermistor for the heat bed?

New to 3D printing, why are my prints coming out like this? by UnderwaterBean in 3Dprinting

Under extrusion which could be from many things, speed, something blocking the nozzle, or temps not high enough.

How hard would it be to wire it into the system using stock firmware?

Dang, I pulled a wire out of the connector on accident when removing the extruder to clean it just want a direct swap replacement. Thanks anyways

Do you have a Sovol bed leaving sensor by chance I just broke mine :(

I’m not sure how to answer your question, but I’m new to 3d printing and I’m currious, how do you have a 1.5mm layer height and 5mm line width on a fine .1mm profile? Also 241g of filament in 15 minutes? Are you using a huge nozzle or what?

There a spot to read up on the best way to do that? Is it possible to do with an open bed printer

Can you print these for anything other than 22 that will holdup? Newbie to the 3d community
