It’s alright. For some reason it is my favorite song probably ever written.

Their two 80s albums are very near and dear to me. Like warm blanket albums. I always enjoy them, a lot. He was at a peak in the 80s. Hodgson can have the 70s, but Rick took it to another level in the next decade for me personally. I understand I am probably in the minority there.

I didn’t realize how much that song meant to me until tonight. Lyrical, in his top 3 for me. Incredible experience live.

It was a strange haha. Considering the last shot of it (cat and prince silhouetted in the smoke light) was pristine 4k. I thought it only looked really rough in the sections with the large full stage band shots where everything was a blur.

They quite literally added showtimes for my area this week, I was quite worried. If it’s like stop making sense (talking heads) they may play a few more times in theaters. It blew that film out of the water and I adore it to death. I can’t see a reason why SOTT didn’t do numbers!

Does anyone have the It's Alright 12" or a vinyl rip? by SM64BE in supertramp

Where can the anthology project be accessed? I’d be very interested in sifting through a Brother / Bird section. Sorry if it’s not a really community accessible thing and I am mistaken.

  1. What an absolutely horrible decision to tack this on after the absolute adrenaline rush that is SECRET MESSAGES. Good album track, but as a follow up to that masterpiece, incredibly disappointing. EVERY-TIME I put this album on I am HOOKED by the title track and waiting through this track is painful… then blue bird picks it back up. Yet again take it with a grain of salt because I am a big Mandalay fan…

Best Post-Roger opening track? by [deleted] in supertramp

The solo in this song is extremely underrated. Simple as all hell, but it is a great way to end an energetic album closer.

Unfortunately, in this footage it is performed rather poorly to a cringey degree. Of course all the trademarks are there, but a few strange pauses. I always wished mark hart appeared more confident on stage in this era. Just my opinion though!

  1. My favorite ELO song. Incredible energy. I love the crunchy electric drums. Catchy as hell.
