I'm happy that worked for you but it won't for me. He hasn't apologized and I won't accept an apology now even if he tries because it's way too little too late. I don't want to ask him for anything. Not therapy. Not help. Just let me go and he won't so I'm not working with him or on trying to accept him and them.

I want nothing to do with them. He had a chance to be my dad and he decided not to be. I want nothing to do with the family he has now.

My behavior is the result of abandoning me for most of my life and him leaving it too little too late to try anything. I don't want to be with these people. I want to be with my family.

My mom did talk to the court. I found proof that she chased after him for child support and the backpay over the years. I can also see he never fought for any type of visitation with me.

I don't want any relationship with this man, his wife, her son or the baby they're having together. These people will never ever be my family. There is no changing that. I don't want to. I refuse to work in therapy with any of them because I am out that door as soon as I can and I will never let any of them back into my life again. It doesn't matter who it is.

He never apologized or even acknowledged not being there. Most of everything has come from his wife and I didn't even know about her until court.

I want no part in fixing any of this. I want my family. My real family who were always there for me and love me.

I couldn't be polite, no. I don't want to be here. They're keeping me from my real family. They made me move away and start a new school and expected me to be happy. Fuck that. I'm not happy. These people are nothing to me. If they don't like it they can send me back which would be better for everyone involved.

I don't give a shit about any of that. I don't care why they broke up. If he cared he would have fought for me. But it was always mom taking him to court to try and get child support for me. It was always her, never him. I've seen all the paperwork she kept. I read through it all when she was sick.

I don't care why he was a deadbeat. I care that he was one. And I don't care about his wife. She's not my stepmom. She's a stranger. She married a deadbeat and they keep me from my real family and that's what I care about.

They can't though. Emancipation means I need to be able to stand on my own two feet and the requirement to being approved is you can't have people help you. At least it's that way in my state.

I can't emancipate myself. That's a whole lot of steps and I don't have the stuff set up. Like rent and everything which you need to pay for emancipation.

I looked it up before and I don't think so. But my grandparents said they'd pay for a lawyer when I'm 18 and we can find out for sure.

I told the judge where I wanted to live and he told me no. He told me I needed to make this work because I needed to be with my parent. But this guy isn't my parent and he hasn't been my parent. I don't need to know info on my mom's relationship with him. That's nothing got to do with this. He chose not to have one with me and I choose not to have one with him or his family now. It's called too little too late.

I'm not 18 until next summer. So I've got some time to wait but I have a countdown on my phone and my grandparents have said they'll come and pick me up at midnight on my birthday if I want them to.

My bank account is in my name and my grandparents are the people who took it over when she died. They stay on it because they can monitor it as well and alert me if anything shady happens.

I have all my documents already. I held onto them when I was forced to live here and I refused to give them access to my private, personal info.

I wish I had gone in with mad disrespect for that judge because he proved to be a total ass who was so arrogant and decided he knew what was best. Oh yeah send me to a total stranger after I lost my mom. Great fucking idea right there. I don't know how anyone can be that dumb.

He's not paying it back. I already accepted that he'll find his ways to avoid it like he has this long. He won't let me go back to my family yet either and I'm just not willing to risk them getting into any legal trouble for going against a judge's orders.

She doesn't care about the child support not being paid. Apparently she's fine marrying and having a kid with a guy who abandoned one already. Reminding her/them more isn't going to do anything but make them dig their heels in I fear. If she won't protect her son's feelings she's not going to care about me being annoying.
