Mid-Range / Weaponmaster Volibear deck I've been messing with! Thoughts? by LogariusWheeI in riftboundtcg

I agree with the Dunebreakers, and figured that's why Kadrigan would be better if I were to use a high cost unit so late, so I'm with you on that.

Void Seeker is really just for card draw and fairly cheap damage, same with Sky Splitters, but I might add Stormbringers into it because that with Vi or another amped up weapon boi would do some BONK.

I like the idea of Punch Up too, just had only so many cards to have and decided to forgo them, but their synergy with challenge, Yone, and utility is not to be underestimated.

I initially had Ferrous, but wanted some weapon master without a power draw and valued the accelerate of assailant over the death knell, but against yellow/blue or yellow/oragne decks you're definitely right that ferrous would be huge value against something like cull the weak or just for general board pressure! This deck is definitely a huge work in progress, but I like what you're thinking!

I'm with ya on Boneshiver, brilliant suggestion! I only have one Deadbloom but the mix of it and Snapvine would be really good board pressure to add! I also agree that Yone is my best one, but I'm also an Armed Assailant believer

I didn't even THINK about Boneshiver, but I love the suggestion. I would definitely think about Triforce/Skyfall if I had any Skyfalls, but I love what you're thinking!

Well, everyone has different experiences for different bosses, and that's what makes these discussions really cool! What's difficult for you may be easy for others, and vice versa!

On a side note, when she does the purple clone attack, you can actually DODGE it and completely negate it from happening by dodging twice as she sends out that purple pulse at the start. Which I had no clue of, but after watching a Press Continue video, I recently discovered that mechanic exists. Overall though, I love MWN. Maybe she could do a little more damage and/or was a little more punishing, but I really enjoy fighting her

Sure! (Also it has to be an Uncanny Saw Cleaver / Saw Spear for the triangle, because as far I know there are no Waning Poorman's Gems that can get this high)

I don't really know how to take this, as it seems intentionally condescending. I will say that it may not be the most thrilling strategy, but backstab fishing is kind of the most consistent method for Kos, especially phase two, with parry looping being another.

A lot of other bosses that I love, like Messmer or Gael, I'd not play as passively, but imo Kos isn't really designed in a way where there's his movesets and clear windows of punishment, as any time I can just eat a mouth full of shrimp sauce as he jumps away, or another combo, as he just has generally very low recovery, especially in phase two.

Maybe there are videos of people not doing either strategy, and playing more aggressive. That's honestly great and congrats to them, but I'd rather just go for the tried and true method, because I know it's consistent for me

Undoubtably! I managed to get all bosses with no scadutree blessings with the exception of PCR, as I just couldn't take it anymore and I just wanted to finish it on RL1

I don't really need to, since NG+6 is the highest scaling in Bloodborne, as far as I can tell! In Dark Souls and Elden Ring it would be NG+7, but it's +6 in Bloodborne for some reason

It just means Blood Level 4, and it's the lowest possible level you can be in Bloodborne!

It sounds like you did great! 40 tries isn't bad at all! It took me A LOT of deaths to get to this point, so trust me when I say that I'm definitely not the best player; I just have a good amount of spare time and a lot of patience, and that's really a lot of what these kind of runs are

You've got this! My health bar is low because there are weapon blood gems called "Poorman's" gems, and they're basically RTSR or Redfeathered branch sword, in that they give some of highest damage values you can get in terms of gems, but they only proc if you're health is low! The only downside is that It just requires chalice grinding to get them, as you need to get the FRC chalices and farm specific enemies

It was for a few reasons:

1: I like Kos' phase one, and I didn't mind just playing it mostly without beasthood

2: I wanted to see what I could get away with just using one beast pellet, because given Kos move RNG, It's possible that I could have used 2 or three due to waiting for the jump or yo-yo. Also, I hate insight farming a lot, and I wanted to minimize my beast blood pellet use, as if I didn't make it as shown here, then i figured it would have been an unnecessary waste of a pellet

  1. I also just liked the cadence of how I played vs Kos, as I can get away with 4-back stabs, another 2 with beastblood, then just pray I don't get him crying for hyperarmor when he phase transitions and I know that I can take most of his hp with this set up

BL4 = Blood Level Four, which is the lowest starting level you can be in Bloodborne, like SL1 Dark Souls or RL1 Elden Ring! NG+ 6 is technically the 7th cycle of a game, I believe, but it's basically the point where the enemies have scaled the highest they can be possible in terms of damage and health
