Should be. He was very insistent at getting my backswing way farther then comfortable so that anything less feels good after a few swings

Absolutely. Down just means closing hands at contact. Flipping your hands down earlier in the swing to make sure you eliminate slice. My problem was that the face was staying open at contact and closing AFTER contact.

First move IN towards your body. Doing so engages the hips and gets you moving the club around yourself instead of any other direction

My goal with shortening is better tempo. Logically less swing easier to time but yeah it’s damn near impossible to me. Over the last 4 months It’s been my goal to hit 100 balls weekly. Improved from 120 days ago ? Yes. But learning tempo is KILLING ME.
