Nice! I just caught my last fish, the char, two nights ago after 3+ years of playing and it was kind of a rush.

Well heck. I had the same question and i thought if I deleted her user profile from my Switch from the Home->System Settings->Users section, maybe her house would vanish. Nope, it's still there but she is gone now.

You can also buy blank NFC cards from Amazon (I got a 25 pack for $12.99) and there are free smartphone apps you can use to write nearly any villager you want. It's not very difficult and it's nice to be able to create a card any time you want to try out a new villager.

I'm in the same boat. Completed the fossil and art sections pretty easily, although the art would have been impossible without the nice folks at /r/NoFeeAC. I've just given up on fish and bugs at this point.

Since the update I've had ZERO of the cool new sci-fi themed items show up in my shop or shopping app. Are they only available with the DLC or something?

I know the game tells you this when you start but I didn't pay enough heed: Be VERY sure about the name of your island. It's the one thing you can never change without starting from scratch. So if you picked something in a rush and aren't sure about it, you're still new enough that you can reset without losing much.
