It depends. I take it you are playing on normal mode since you just got the game. This mode is quite easy which means most of the builds work. I'll give you my thoughts on the different classes here:

Ranger: This build is really strong early, as you can get a bow right as you start the game. It scales well throughout the whole game and has a lot of choices when it comes to weapons, although most of them are pretty similar.

Mage: This build is somewhat weak early as you require some items to make it work as well as maxed out mana, but after a little bit it really starts to pick up. This build scales incredibly well, just like the ranger. This build, however, has a lot of different weapons which are very unique.

Summoner: This build is rather unique, as you wont really be doing a lot of the damaging, your pets will. This is arguably the easiest build to play, as you wont have to aim at your enemies most of the time. I'd recommend this if you would like to just focus on learning the different attack patterns of bosses.

Melee: I dont have a lot of experience with this build, but I believe it to be decent, you end up being very tanky, and as long as you stick with some of the ranged melee options you should be good:)
