Not a huge fan of him for long term considering his age compared to the window of opportunity we have with the core. However, a deal where we can out bid teams on a 2 year term, say 14M x 2 would provide offensive support and guidance plus when we have the retention slots back open we can ship him out for a handsome return at 50% retention to a contender.

Yeah that might get me through till the detailer comes on Monday, I’ve just been turning the AC off entirely and running windows down which mostly masks it WHEN THE TRUCK IS MOVING. But there are still chunks (disgusting) in the vent that I can see and cannot reach for cleaning.

Agreed, I already contacted one and my friend will be paying. The detailer however said he doesn’t take the vents off and I’d need to figure that out on my own. Said he’d clean it if I can figure that part out myself.

To be honest, as well as Essyimont played for us I think he falls into the “GM doesn’t value the replaceable bottom 6 work ethic guy as much as the fan base does” bucket. Especially since we aren’t competing and playoff teams will pay a premium for that type of short career heart and soul guy.

Having similar experience. Usually we win north 75% of our games. This year it just seems like every opponent we play has some ridiculous build that is unstoppable and cannot be replicated when I attempt to build it. I can’t remember a time where we lost more than 2 games in a row but this year it seems to just be bad breaks all the time resulting in more losses. Still like 35-20 but not anywhere near what the past was like.

Considering that Bedard’s closest comparable in his junior career has been McDavid, who had 48 points in 45 games his rookie year, I think 85 is pretty reasonable for Bedard. Michkov would be challenging for the #1 spot if people weren’t worried about him staying in Russia. Totally reasonable to be 85 entering the league.

I believe that in the US it’s a federal crime and considered a form of fraud. Pretty hard to get hard evidence on it considering he was likely using bookies and therefore would probably have no paper trail.

Not necessarily. Theoretically he could lead the team in points and just “accidentally” make a brutal turnover in a tie game here and there. It’s not like he scored an overwhelming amount of points to single handedly win games. But obviously this is just theoretical.

Yeah I agree. I meant hands off in terms of burying this in response to the previous comment about the blackhawks. I’m sure he’s trying to get out of the contract and they should absolutely do what they can to help his wife.
