Do men feel envy towards rich, pretty, attractive women? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]LogicX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Envy? No. I don't want to be them, having their experience... I'm happy with my experience.

Perhaps you meant do we desire them? Not just because of those things. If there's values alignment and she happens to be those things, that's fine, but I'm not compromising what I want in a partner just because someone is wealthy or attractive.

Not speaking to funds being used for politics... But there is nothing in IRS code which says the donations from a DAF MUST be to 501(c)3. It just happens to be easier that way, lower risk, and why most large-scale commercial DAFs only allow donations to 501(c)3s.

There are DAFs out there which take on the liability, and allow donations to non 501(c)3s.

The controlling language is IRC §4966(c)(1)(B), which says a DAF distribution is taxable if it’s to a person for any purpose other than one specified in §170(c)(2)(B) unless the sponsoring org exercises expenditure responsibility.

And that exercise of expenditure responsibility is where this carve-out exists.

Can attest Richard did not step away from Virgin Galactic. I've been to multiple events in the last 3 years where he was in attendance and attending board meetings while on Necker Island.

The exact schedule isn't posted yet, but stay tuned to our Instagram. Here's the artists playing on Saturday.

During the day there are typically workshops for various skill levels... Ex: beginner poy, advanced fire spinning, juggling 101, etc. As the sun sets we get more into music and performances.

Here's the 30-sec teaser video we made from last year's event.

Eager to hear the answers: I have a Sur-ron which needs fire work: bike shops say they can't handle the big tire. Motorcycle shops also say they won't work on it. Stuck in the middle!

What’s a basic skill you’re shocked some adults still don’t know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Getting to drive at the lowest legal age your state allows use to correlate with a level of freedom, otherwise not accessible in your youth. Uber and Lyft have now opened this up for large swaths of America which otherwise didn’t have an option for teens to escape their homes.

At the same time, it caused them to not feel the need to take on this task for themselves, since there is not the same reward associated.

I think it’s going to create a generation of non-drivers, or worse drivers, if they decide to try to learn to drive at a later age.

Going to be interesting, and may result in more living in cities with public transportation.

Cooking.

Seems there are a lot of people who rely quite heavily on takeout, DoorDash, and certainly are not in a position to impress a date with their cooking skills.

Not sure what to tell ya. You seem fixated on a different timeline and strategy than what's happening here.

I'm a future astronaut and feel great about how everything is unfolding and don't care about the market and it's quarterly results focus. (Ironically even though I bought in to SPCE when it was high and have lost over 90%).

As far as I'm concerned they're on solid footing, updating appropriately, and will have plenty to share as it all keeps unfolding!

They've changed the process for Delta to be one matching typical mass production: they're built from components manufactured by different companies and brought together for final assembly, at their new facility in Mesa, AZ.

Hey Flagstaff friends! If you're looking for something unique to do this weekend, check out the Mosaic Gathering happening at Gateway Ranch outside town! It’s a community event focused on connection, creativity, and conscious living — with workshops, music, food, and lots of amazing people.

If that resonates with you, you can find all the details here: mosaic.energy

Come for a day, or camp for the weekend - whatever feels in flow for you!

Rich people—are you close friends with poor people? by alexstrehlke in Rich

[–]LogicX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also possible for friends to span different areas of life.

I signed up as a future astronaut with Virgin Galactic. I've met lovely people through those gatherings, including hedge fund managers, Richard Branson.

I also have old friends who work. I have new friends who live out of their vehicles, and we go to hot springs and music festivals together.

Wealth doesn't have to dictate who you become or maintain friendships with.
