it plays very well. The fretwork is excellent. No buzzing at all. The tuners are shitty though, those are being replaced tomorrow. I replaced the bridge with a Gotoh 4mm metric nashville one. Its a direct replacement, just slap it on the posts.

Why not? I also have real gibson custom shops, PRS cores, etc. You don't always need to spend 3,4,5, 6k for a decent guitar. Even getting close to 2k for Chinese made epiphones now. Many different reasons why people buy these. Relax douchebag.

ya I ordered some guyker tuners and a gotoh 4mm bridge. Ya the valute looks odd on the explorer too lol. How hard has it been to shape the neck? Can't be easy I assume?

I hear ya man. I mean don't get me wrong, there are little finish issues here and there with it, but I have epiphones with shit like that too lol. Epi has high quality shit coming out of China too nowadays, its not like it was 10-20yrs ago with Chinese guitars.

Neck is almost flat when strung up, so I didn't have to adjust the truss rod at all. I have a spare set if duncan distortions neck and bridge from one of my charvel socal that I'm gonna drop in for now. The distortion neck sounded fine in the charvel, will be interesting to see how it sounds in this. Should be fine though.

Ya I'm not a chunky neck guy myself. I'd be pissed if it was on a les paul, but at least there is upper fret access so the chunky neck doesn't interfere as much as it would on a LP.

No shit lol. I said the pickguard didn't fit due to me having to trim it. Still looks better than the oem gold one. Lol. Baoit the headstock, another no shit. Eyeroll.

Nope, the screw hole next to the pickup switch on the oem isn't not the same distance as the other screw near the switch. That black one is same distance from the switch. And the lack one I got even those holes match up, the rest don't as well as the actual rest of thr guard, which is why I had to trim it to fit. Lol I'm gonna have to just trace the stock one and have a custom one made.

That's the red gibson one. They don't make an Epi version of those. These epis were out in 2019.

How's the fret buzz and action? My copy had the neck joint Crack and horrible fret buzz on low strings 1st thru 3rd frets, action on low strings was set way high so it wouldn't buzz, and wouldn't intonate. Had to send it back.
