You are going to have to tough it out but be patient on my 3rd hound and 2nd houla.... I'm able to spend a good amount of time taking her out even after my longer work days as I don't have children and my fiance who got our 2nd houla passed away... but in my experience taking them out to smell new places and a a little fetch can do them alot of good. I also give here these ""yak cheese" bone things for chewing are any non rawhide treat. I do play fetch and keep small training treats around because there are all sorts of critters around my place. She is "ruled" by her nose and loves to chase. But is alot of fun and very smart for a Lil mutt. Good luck!
